I think that "friend" is too broad to define, as a phycological unit.

I personally don't know what exactly friendship is. Level of friendship between me and my buddies might be different from somebody else.

But there is family. And to me personally, family stands as a high rise building among everything else.

No, what I'm trying to say is that if you can be lovers AND best friends then you can be just best friends too. ;)

    at least thats my experience
i wish we could be both,

but PERSONALLY of caurse,i don't believe we can have both

but still,i have some doubts deep inside me.
what if we spoil our friendship one day because we fall in love?
    Liljana, sto se patis?:)

What I'm tryin to tell you is that one does not exclude the other.

What if you two, who are really getting along as it seems, decide not to have a relationship (more than friendship) because, hey you are friends, and lose the opportunity to have something even better?

and it seems that you do have some doubts about your friendhip, or at least insecurities, otherwise you wouldnt have an issue to discuss;)

I can only tell you to take it as it happens and give everything a chance., both "romantic" relationship and "friend" relationship.

There was a thread here asking what is your phylosophy;).

I have only one. No Regrets.

    Cheers:)

i have a few things to say..

of course you can be friends with a lad/girl. But a very close friendship will eventually result in feelings. for sure. I once saw a study that most male female friendships start because one has feelings for the other. Family is a different story. I have a good relationship with my sisters, i would say even good friends. A friend of mine's closest friend is probably his older sister. Siblings who are close however, dont have to be incest. My sister always helps me do my hair and pick out facial products and things like that, which proves useful. I was just lucky enough to have a nice sister. To lili, art is right. We may have so called advanced lifestlyles, but essentially we live on instinct. 1. Survive. 2. Mate. everything we do, is always somehow linked to these two. Whether its chatting on the net, or playing football, its to do with that. there is more then a good chance ya mate does have a crush on you.

No it doesnt mean you are sexually attracted, if you were, you would know.
its quite scary that we only can control 2% of our brain. But some people have learned ways to control more. Its said that David Blaine (magician) can control more than 2% of his brain because of the skills he have with magic.

And also some buddist have discovored ways to control the brain even more. I dont know if you have seen people who have been beaten with an iron bar just to demonstrate that they dont feel no pain. They are also somehow blocking the brain from recieveing the pain signals from their wounds.

If we could have full control of our brain, then we could do stuff as control our dreams while we sleep. Imagine how perfect it would be if you can live inside your own dream :)
I smiled when i saw this. Was reminded of 12 midnight last may i think :) Isnt it shocking we use so little of our brain? Some Scientists think the aztecs were so advanced for their time because the oxygen is thinner in the high mountains, hence you take more regular breathes, hence they somehow managed to use more of their brains then we do. something like that any-hoo.

I like being friends with guys. Gurls can sometimes become "too friendly", you know, they wanna know everything. I'm not too big on sharing my deepest thoughts with anyone... :( Least of all be too intimate with a female, yechhh. I don't mean physically, mind you. I just hate brainpicking.

Anyway, Lili, I don't know if anyone has said it here before, but you need to decide for yourself what you want from him: friendship or love. Simple, isn't it :D Besides, lovers can be best friends and vice versa. Not so simple anymore, right? :D :D

Good luck to you anywayzzz :)
