I dont understand ALlergi - since 2010 wc the whole world knows that Marchisio is useless trequartista, also Allegri himself stated that he wants to use Pogba under pair of forward but yet he used Marchisio there, if he wants to play 41212 from time to time then Pogba/Pereyra/Giovinco are the best choice for trequartista position
This is a friendly, not a serious game.

Marchisio did fine out there, but lacked a reference point.

Pogba is not suited for the AM position, pretty much every coach and analyst can tell you that

1.We really miss Chiello and Barza.
2.Vidal seems to be in a good shape.not bothered by his knee.
3.We still need to run few games with new formation to be ready 100% and comfortable with it.
Thankfully we have a good fixtures at the start.
4.Pereyra-Llorente-Tevez > Marchisio-Tevez-Gio

I'd love to see Pogba there, hell, even Pereyra. But I'd give a chance to Coman as AMC. I also think Marchisio is being wasted there as he doesn't have qualities for be a good AM. He should be our DM and nothing else.

If anything I'm glad Allegri is trying things out in friendly and hopefully not when season starts.

:agree:

Physically he seemed fine.

He looked like he was lacking sharpness though, a few bad touches and passes.

I don't know why Ogbonna is being grouped with Bonucci. The mistakes Bonucci makes are not representative of Ogbonna. Bonucci had 5 misplaced passes with no pressure. Ogbonna had 2. Ogbonna had 2 good long ball switches.

Ogbonna bossed Pazzini on 2 headers. When you saw Bonucci come up against him he failed to jump and Pazzini flicked it on.

Twice Ogbonna came from LCB to cover off a run from Pazzini and Muntari on the right side. He also had a successful slide tackle. He also crushed Poli.

He failed at anticipating Evra would fall down while marking Honda. He's not Maldini but I really hope I don't have to see this incessant whining about him for the whole season when he is playing fine.

Did fine? :sergio: When you play there you need to create goal opportunities for your teammates, send many good through balls, Marchisio can't do it and he just proved it once again

I was hoping that Asamoah would be given a few minutes in a more advanced position.

No one is saying they're good enough. Isn't you who want to give Ogbonna another chance, eventhough he's worse than Bonucci?
Considering we're starting to play with 4 man defense I think it makes more sense to sell Bonucci. Ogbonna deserves a chance, sure, but so far he's pure disappointment.

I'd try to play him as a backup LB from time to time. At least he's able to cover that spot.

Agreed we made absolutely nothing, Marchisio is clearly not good enough to play AM for a club even half as big as we are.

I'd agree about 3-5-2 if we're not Juve. He's decent there and has some qualities to be there but IMO he's not a player for top clubs -- which I believe we are.

We need a new CB without a doubt. Both Bonucci and Ogbonna should be ignored, especially if we're fielding a 4 man defense. Caceres should be a RB and never play as a CB (since some people mention him... for no reason). I'd personally love to see Nastasic here, I think he'd be perfect for our 3rd spot at the moment.
Exactly. I hope we can complete that deal.

That's not an insult, but the truth. You talk so much that you're right about a lot of things, but also wrong in half of it.
Look, i agree this will allways put pressure on the defence, but exactly this situation is what sets quality apart

That pass came from allmost at the cornerflag, defender was making it very hard to put in a cross. That will usually become a first post low cross since the curve would go behind the line or onto lichts leg if he tries a long post cross.

Marking players is one thing, but you need to see what happens aswel. One of the centrebacks usually keeps marking the more dangerous player, whilst the other positions depending of incomming enemy players, or the cross.

We didnt do that. At juventus, you cant be forgiven for that.

I liked Ogbonna tonight. Much better display than Bonucci.
