Del Piero-Totti To Start Against Swiss

Marcello Lippi revealed two thirds of the starting attack the Azzurri will feature in the upcoming warm-up friendlies.

With Del Piero on the left, Totti will be able to run less and find his best condition again,” Lippi told reporters early Tuesday afternoon.

The Italian coach didn’t indicate who he will pick as striker between Toni and Gilardino.

The Fiorentina tower does seem to be the obvious choice given the 31 goals he scored in the last Serie A campaign.

Italy face Switzerland on Wednesday, while on Friday they will test their skills against Ukraine.

probable formation for this match is:
buffon
grosso-canna-materazzi-zaccardo(oddo)
gattuso-pirlo(de rossi)-camo
del piero-toni-gila
very offensive!!!!!!!!
zaccardo because zambrotta is injured
de rossi is doing better than pirlo right now
materazzi because nesta has a slight injury
against ukraine it will probably be 4-3-1-2
with totti in the place of del piero

 I would rather play with Toni infront. He proved his skills in Serie A
Del Piero-Totti's savior :D
