Next wednesday, For those who care:D
I'll bet, but I don't care.

Scotland squad only has one Aberdeen player, despite us finishing 3rd and usually fielding 10 scots in a game, and he won't even get to play despite being the best defender in the SPL.

Scotland can GTF.

    Why is that?

dissapointing mate, gotta get behind the country, i would love for them to qualify for a major toutnament (even though this game doesnt matter)

i can only think of 2 aberdeen players who should be in the squad : Severin and Anderson. Although Anderson should be the starting centre-back and should have been for a long time, far better than Pass-back Pressley.

for me severin should be a regular...was a sad day for hearts when we lost him

funny thing is that calderwood always goes on about hearts having more money, yet they poached seve from us when they had more financial muscle...was not the first time and would not have been the last if we didnt get big investment

as for scotland we are at an all time high but you just know that barry"the crab"ferguson will be a regular under another ex-rangers manager....we will ebgin to slip down the ratings again

They are the main two who should be in the squad and Russ should be starting. At the last Aberdeen v Rangers game he just looked so much better than Weir it was unreal and yet Weir will still play. The fact that Pressleya and Caldwell are ahead of him is just a joke. Russ and McManu are the best Scottish CBs.

I think Hart should be in the squad as well as he has been probably the most consistant RB in the SPL this season and is certainly a better player than the dirty hun Hutton who is in the squad.

What annoys me most is that I genuinely beleived McLeish would give non Bigot Bros players a chance but obviously I have been proved wrong. As a Dons legend I thought McLeish would at least give Aberdeen players a fair chance.

i would agree that Hart has had a good season, but Hutton IMO deserves a shot in the squad, he has been like a different player in the second half of the season (considering how bad he was in the first half under le guen) and impressed me. I think if his form wasnt so good Hart would have been in the squad, but unfortunatly they play the same position and there is only one friendly match.

speaking of players who should be in the squad, Barry Robson at Scumdee Utd has been brilliant this season.

Thats the point. I think when two players are of similar ability and form the Old Firm option will always be taken.

Also, as much as I despise the wee, ginger prick Robson, I agree he deserves a chance for Scotland.

Thanks Rebel! Jinx bets in place. :p

Because I hate roughly half the players at any given time and I generally disagree with the team selection due to the major old firm bias that exists.
I think you'll find that it's more than half when you take ex old firm players into account.

this match will be a sure-fire cure for insomniacs :) ;)
You think so? If I can I'll watch it - then we'll know!

Cheers folk and since I won drinks are on me. :D :pint: :pint:

Didn't see the game cos I was working but it seems to have been an even game. Slightly worrying since Austria are shite and haven't played any competitive matches in about a year but then again we are usually awful in friendly games.
