I would prefer to see a decent Lb coming, or a solid backup/challenger for Lichsteiner. But Guerin can be very serious quality. he would make our possible midfield trio one of potentially the best in europe. Its MArchisio's present role, which seems most clearly at threat. Guarin as the more offensive than defensive central midfielder, with scope to attack and support the attack, as well as hustle. Pirlo as the mainly deep lying regista, with Vidal buzzing around him, gattuso-in-his-prime style. Could be so good to outweigh the dangerously shallow depth of our defensive potency.

With Sorensen leaving, we really need a defender. Won't complain if this guy comes at the expense of Pazienza (hopefully)...I will, however, complain if it is at the expense of Marrone.
