He just looked too tired halfway into the second half.
Almost no key movement onwards by that time but he managed to deny one good chance of Bologna in ET IIRC.

But Conte needs to forget the idea of him becoming a RB, he just can't handle the 90 mins of running up and down the flank. He's a CB through and through.
This.

he looks to have composure and i would love him to be developed as a center defender.

He had a nice game if we take in consideration that he had aeons without playing an official match

LOL to his careless recoveries. Bologna's attacking? Yeah, like a give a fuck. Classy boss.

I wouldn't be laughing if he was a real fullback, though, but as a defender he looked pretty good again. Always calm with the ball on his feet and I don't remember any defensive 1x1 so if it happened, he cleared it well. Good sweeperish job in one occasion too.

Sorensen can become a better player than De Ceglie but De Ceglie is more needed atm, in case Chiellini slips over and injured himself. Unless you want Sorensen to become a LB which is plain stupid.

Seriously, I think DC has become somewhat underrated in this forum. He's not that bad you know.

why he was good last night as RB and has great potential unlike de ceglie who wasn't special yesterday
goat is gone
Pepe isn't a rb (that is a dumb neri move)
Sorensen is just solid at defensive situations and making passes.
'Real' fullbacks needs to be quick and running flanks all the time. Sorensen may looked good but he wasn't doing what fullbacks are supposed to do (especially) offensively. De Ceglie may looked a bit more messy but he did offer something for the attack and helped the winger in front of him to ease off the pressure.

Sorensen just doesn't built well for RB, he's slow and fullbacks are supposedly pressing high and later tracking back to defense line. Not to mention the runnings they must make when the team is on attack (something Sorensen didn't do much last night). That's a lot of running and Sorensen can't handle that. Notice that he faded late in the game; same thing happened when he guarded Eto'o (possibly his best game) against Inter, he did well and provided nice assist until some time in the 2nd half when he started to lose concentration, probably due to tiredness.

When he came across to cover the centre of the pitch you can see he looks a lot better than when he is isolated against wingers, he's just too gangly to play there at a high level. He would be a pretty cool ball-playing defender, like Bonucci but without the fantasy long balls.

i like sorensen a lot but he is not made to play at rb, and by no means a proper solution if Licht was unavailable, i noticed at times last night he was slow to react to certain situations, such as if the ball passes by him he would fail to react quickly enough to recover, defensively he is no issue, but in terms of going forward he offers next to nothing, he is much better off playing at cb, but he has alot to learn in terms of the build up play if he were to properly contest bonucci for his place.

He looks a bit too calm to me. But he's young and will improve. His decision making can at times be very poor as well as his positioning. The later once could be because of his position though. One thing I do like so far is his first touch. His technique isn't good but that doesn't matter as long as he plays CB but his first touch is rather good for a CB at his age who players more like a destroyer than a Nesta or whoever, IMO.

He needs to get games, this half a year has been a waste for him. He isn't ready to be here (and frankly may never be (as a starter)). Send him to Bologna or Lecce some low ranking team where he'll get games.

His technique certainly isn't bad. His positioning looks strange because he isn't actually a RB but even in that case he still recovers well most of the time. He is cool with the ball at his feet, and his passing from the back is very accurate for someone his age IMO.

Yeah, he's clearly just a CB playing at RB.

His technique isn't good for a fullback, but would be fine for a CB.

Same goes for his athleticism.

Still, it would hardly be a terrifying prospect if Juve were to have to play Sorensen RB for a game or two in Serie A at some point this season.
