I love the "incentive" argument. Does a club that fight to avoid relegation really need an incentive to get a quality youngster and put him on the pitch? Really? No seriously, really?

I'd be happy with a sell with rebuy option, with him staying in the squad or with a straight loan. Co-ownership is just as retarded as it is.

Plus, do you guys seriously believe he'll develop more playing 30 games for a shaky defence than playing 10 games for a estabilished defence? In this deal, either we lose money or we lose a player.

Most of you guys must be FM players. His attributes aren't going to go up by 1 for every 3 games he plays. Actually, he'll probably be playing games where he's on the receiving end of 3-0 scorelines. Great development, huh?

Besides, he's probably not gonna be a starter there anyway. No Serie A club is going to put such faith in a 19-year old foreigner with less than 10 full games of top flight experience, especially at CB. He won't play that much there either.

What I prefer is not keeping Barzagli (if we get Lugano) and keeping Sorensen as 4th choice. I know that won't happen, but it should. In fact, I would rather we cook Motta, have some curry goat and have Sorensen as vice-RB.

Simply, he is better off here.

Sorenson could cover for RB as well instead of Motta. Our defense still isn't that strong in depth, if he deserves it, he'll get the minutes.

I gave my view already on why I don't think playing 15 extra games is more beneficial than training at a big club, with big players, play big matches, have big ambitions, have WC facilities even though he will play let's say 5 games. You know, like how Man Utd. and Barca slowly integrate their players to the team. And if he's vice-RB, he'll get a lot more games.

And Bologna doesn't guarantee shit. See some posts above for what I think on that.

GUess what, Chiellini did kinda suck last year (sad to say), even though Motta and Grosso are much better than what there is at Bologna. And that's a bad example since those are 2 of our worst when they would be Bologna's best.

You're saying he would permanently suck with losing becoming "second nature", like he's coming back from the Vietnam War and suffers from flashbacks and PTSD or something. All I'm saying is more playing time should do him some good, especially when he will have a lot to do. But who knows, we will see.

This is true for all loans/co-owns for our youngsters. He could turn out to be like Iago, who was made to play in the Primavera instead of the senior team, or could turn out like Giovinco, who gets good playing time and bursts onto the scene.

Parma would have played Giovinco on loan as well...
