To be honest, I've only seen Sorensen play a little bit for us. I missed most of the games when he played, but caught the last part of Sunday's game and got to see him but nothing that can definitively give me an idea of him, so my question(s) is:
Does this guy have a future at Juventus? Do you think he can be great?
Honestly, it's tough to say. I mean, it's easy to get caught up on the wave of enthusiasm (myself included, for sure), but realistically he's only had a handful of games and there's still time for everything to go wrong. Nevertheless, judging from the qualities he's exhibited, there's an even greater chance for things to go right, I feel.
He's 18 and playing, out of position, for a world-renowned club when just a few months previous he was at a Danish second division side or some such. Yet, he's already demonstrated he has that intransmissible cool-headedness that most top defenders naturally possess, excellent technical ability, great physical stature, and on and on. He's slotted into the team without much of a hitch and proven himself on par for the level. I can't stress how important that is. Take a look at some of the youngsters Milan and, particularly, Inter have tried out this season. Absolutely atrocious, and they've been rightly banished. Not Sorensen. He just looks like he belongs. Some players just impose themselves and get noticed, and he's done so. Even once the injury crisis is over, there is absolutely no chance he's going back to the youth ranks. Absolutely none.
