That should have been a penalty for Lorient. They have been the better team in the opening ten minutes.

I'm hugely impressed by Christian Gourcuff(Yoan's father yes), he just keeps coping no matter how many players leave Lorient. Last summer they lost Ciani and Abriel, their two best players, yet they still got the highest place in their history, 7th place. This summer they lost their three best players, Gameiro, Amalfitano and Morel, yet it looks like they're still coping.

Edit: Lorient just missed a sitter, after a horrible mistake by Sakho, Sakho isn't having a good start

Sakho is having a really poor game, another clumsy mistake by him.

Edit: Sakho's silly unnecessary foul causes a goal :D. Quercia with a goal in his debut. Gourcuff shows how much of a genius he is at building teams

PSG look all over the shop.

No real pattern or plan to their attack and looking vulnerable on the break, even though Lorient are generally not taking advantage.

They'd be better off with an extra midfielder instead of Hoarau in that half.

Yup, poor first half by them. You're right that Hoarau has to go out, but i'd rather bring in Mevlut Erding to play alongside Gameiro. Erding is always a nuisance, he'd add mobility to that frontline.

Mind you this Lorient side is 40% new, amazing how fast they've adapted. The two fullbacks, the goalscorer and the left winger are all new to the team.

Hoarau going out, and in comes Bodmer. A midfielder, like you said Andy, one that can actually pass the ball. IMO he should have taken of Chantome, or at least h he should take off Chantome and play with Erding and Gameiro upfront.

Game over. Another masterpiece by one of the Ligue's best coaches, Christian Gourcuff. He specializes in causing big upsets :D

Poor game by PSG, they were all over the place and did not look like a team neither offensively or defensively. Lorient deserved this one, they were rarely ever troubled by PSG.

Watching the past 10 mins of the PSG - Rennes game, Sakho had to be subbed off because of injury and Rennes are outplaying PSG till now. PSG seriously need to get their act together.

Gameiro scores for PSG, Menez with the low cross and Gameiro with the finish. The away game to Rennes is one of the toughest in the Ligue schedule, this will partly redeem the Lorient result.
