I don't know what happened in sufficient detail to apportion blame, so I'm not going to criticise either party.

Deschamps said (implicitly though iirc) that he quit because of pressure from the board.

You didn't know about the transfer budget allocated to Wenger in sufficient enough detail, yet you were more than happy to criticize him for not spending

I saw repeated suggestions from Arsenal Board members that there was more more money available for tranfers than Wenger was spending.

And why believe what Deschamps had to say?

He and the Juve Directors didn't agree, so they went there separate ways. I don't see any problems with that.

On another note, Karim Benzema wasn't called up to the provisional French squad. Supposedly because he doesn't get games with Real Madrid. Though he went on and called up Gignac and Briand, two players who have barely played this season.

He also left out Nasri, but called up the likes of Govou and Diaby.

True.

At the risk of sounding biased to him though, he has been the best of the worst out of all France's strikers in the past couple of years.

He's decent, but he's no Benzema. He's really good at holding the ball up and is rather good technically for a target man.

Benzema has been a joke at Real though, so I can understand why he's been left out. Though there has been some really strange choices with some teams especially Brazil.
