Ken, I think I'll be rooting for you guys in South Africa.
Nice one Adrian. We don't stand a chance, since we never win a thing in the end, but you'll most likely get to see a few good games in the group. :p

Whilst all you Irish are hating on Henry, Irish Zebra is the only sensible one, he's sporting a Thierry avatar :touched:
Haha, you evil bastard Fred. :D

Yeah, I don't think you'll win it but you should win your group.

The group I'm most looking forward to is the one with Brazil, Portugal, Ivory Coast and North Korea.

That group looks great, but Germany's group looks really interesting aswell, as both Serbia and Ghana have good teams.

We really should win our group, I'm counting on that. It's really good to see some of our key players like Sneijder and Robben are performing well. I just hope van Persie's recovery goes as planned and he can find some of his old form back. Having him in the team simply adds that bit of extra quality that can win you a game.

Our main concern was always going to be our back four though. Mathijsen is a pretty damn good CB, but lacks pace. Thankfully Heitinga has been doing well at the CB spot at Everton, so that should keep Ooijer ( :scared: ) out of our team. It'll be nice to see how Van der Wiel performs on the big stage, I think he'll pull through.

Ah well, it'll all depend on the form of the day and some luck, on our day we can trouble any team there. I think we run straight into the big boys after the group though.

England vs USA is the one to watch on this forum :pumpkin:
:seven:

Most definitely.

Who'll play left back? Stekelenberg in goals?

It'll be nice to be able to enjoy watching Sneijder for once. :D

Well, we tried Braafheid out a couple of times, and he did pretty well imo. Van Bronckhorst gets the nod in most games though, so he'll be our starting LB, since he's also our captain.

Stekelenburg is in goal. Watching Van der Sar at United makes me wish he'd reconsider and end his international career after the World Cup, but that is definitely not happening. Stekelenburg has upped his game though, he stopped making these rookie mistakes that made him a bit of a liability.

It's almost as if since Van Marwijk confirmed him as our new #1 after vdSar definitely retired he took a big step in the right direction. I just hope he can perform at the right moment, on the big stage. :xfinger:

Sneijder . I just block out the black and blue jersey and enjoy watching him play. Like that game in London against Chelsea, I just imagined him doing that in South Africa. ;)

Oui, oui. Bagette, fromage. No, that has absolutely nothing to do with what I'm talking about, but that way I feel like I've kept it atleast a bit on-topic.

I know, but he really held his own when he played for us. We've had a lot of issues in defence, so after Van Bronckhorst he seems the next best thing.

I'd like to give Emanuelson a shot, but he's become a midfielder it seems.
