He had a great game against Chamakh, that was a real duel there, he's doing rather well as a centerback i don't think they're ever going to revert him back to his original position.

But to be honest, i am not convinced that he is good enough for a high level team ala Juventus. He is currently an upgrade over Legro no doubt, but that isn't saying much, is it?

Personally i rate Monaco's Nkoulou higher(you might have seen him play for Cameroon in the ANC), i think that guy definitely has the potential to move to a bigger stage some time during his career. He's such a stylish defender, and he is like M'Bia, he can operate just as well in a DM position. What i like most about Nkoulou is his technique, he is so calm and composed on the ball, and he has good passing ability for a defender.

the thing with M'bia is that he is solid in every day..but i found out he is still bit fragile, he needs to put up some weight, to go to the gym more cuz he's a bit skinny (just like chiello in the past years). Now he's the definiton of calm in the box, he works very well with his colleague diawara in the center of the defence..they understand each other, i never saw both of them going at the same man or both jumping to a same cross like our guys do.. I donno, but in this moment i see him ideal for Juve..but that will cost (om bought him from rennes with £10.4 mils)
I don't know about your boy nkoluou cuz i din't saw a monaco game (and i saw one or 2 games of cameroon and i didn't caught up his name) in ages but i'll check him out as soon as i can..

Ya he will cost a lot, back when he was at Rennes he was thought of as a real prospect, thats why he was sold for such a high price, he was a DM at the time. I always thought he was a bit overrated in France as a DM, and actually in his first half season with Marseille, he didn't really live up to expectations so he was benched and only got a chance to play as a CB because of Marseille's injuries, he's cemented his place as a CB in the past few weeks though, and like you said he has struck an understanding with Diawara.

What a quality fullback Tremoulinas is, though Ben Arfa gave him a tough time today and managed to get past him a number of times, offensively Tremoulinas was great all game long, the amount of dangerous crosses he manages to get into the box every game is amazing.

Gourcuff greatly disspointed me over the two legs as dide Bastos tonight, Chamakh on the otherhand offered top class movement and fantastic awareness. Will be a very good signing for Arsenal Fred.

I have my reservations, but barring RVP he is heads and shoulders better than all our strikers, so he'll probably be a good signing for us.

What were your opinions on Gourcuff? Bordeaux and Lyon?

I didn't watch today's game. I watched the first leg and thought he was rather good actually, the way he left Toulalan for dead and then whipped in that cross for the Chamakh goal was brilliant. He was one of their best players in the first leg.

Didn't watch today's game tbh. Was watching the game with a United fan, he refused to let me change the channel for even one minute :D
