They are, did you see that save from Toulalan's shot??

Janot can be super sometimes. Lyon is bound to score a goal though.

He's pretty solid. Should move on to a top side in one of the big three leagues though. I'd take him at Juve but Aulus would ask 45 trillion Euros for him.

Haha true on Aulas. :p

Are you watching this on a stream Andy?? You seem to be pretty late in your comments, that Kallstrom shot was like 10 minutes ago :D

Watch out for this kid that just came in, Yanis Tafer, he really is a talented guy for the future.

Yeah, I got it on a stream because Setanta USA disappeared from my satellite lineup.

Tafer is great, but my favorite Lyon youngster is Gonalons. Look at how he came in against Real at the half and the match completely changed.

True that, Gonalons looks like he's matured already, he's never disappointed in the chances he got this season. Too bad he is in direct contention with Toulalan for the DM spot. He only got his chance this season because of injuries in defense which forced Toulalan to play at centerback a number of times.

I've seen Gonalons play a lot, perhaps most of his caps. If it was anybody but Aulas running the show I'd put a bid in for him immediately because he has maturity beyond his years. Very calm as well.

I agree. Though i see him not getting many games for Lyon as i am sure they will be bringing in defenders next summer, which will mean Toulalan will stick to playing DM which in turn means less and less opportunities for Gonalons.

I don't think he'd be very happy with that. Eventually they're going to have to sell either Toulalan or Gonalons.

I hope to see Les Verts once again a strong power in Ligue 1. Bordeaux's revival was refreshing, it's now time for SE to follow.

I love the Ligue :touched:
Apart from the entertainment, I think that quality wise it's already 3rd in Europe, or at least sharing the 3rd with the Italians and the Germans. Maybe the best teams aren't as good as the Italian best teams (which is arguable, considering what Lyon and Bordeaux did to some European giants like Juve, Bayern, Liverpool and Real. It's more about not being as rich than not being as good), but in France there isn't a clear difference between the top teams and the 6th, 7th, 8th placed teams, as there is in Italy or Spain, and overall it makes the Ligue, imo, just as good as the others.

This league produces more talent than any other league in Europe. Just take a look at the best European clubs and you'll see how many of their players came from the Ligue. The only problem are the finances. If the French teams are at least 30% richer than they are and they are able to keep their best players at least 2 years longer, then in 2,3 or maximum 4 years the French league will win the 3rd place in UEFA and have 4 teams in CL.
