Monaco look like a really good team this season. Their sexy counterattacking football has taken many top French teams(See L'OM) aback. They are playing a sexy brand of football and getting results in the process. They have already beaten Marseille in the Velodrome and beaten PSG at home.

Nene, their Brazilian winger has been in crazy form this season. Easily the best player in the Ligue until now this season.

Whenever i've watched Monaco, Gudjohnson didn't start. So i'm not sure how well he's been doing.

But Park has been one of the protagonists of Monaco's counterattacking style. His pace especially has been an asset. Park along with the goalkeeper Ruffier and centerback Sebastian Pugrenyier have impressed me a lot this season. Alejandro Alonso has looked good too this season.

Monaco played a decent game against Bordeaux today. Tough game for both teams, Bordeaux barely won it 1-0. Bordeaux's efficiency in set pieces are what won them this game. Bordeaux are probably one of the best teams in Europe in set pieces, it has won them many games this season.

Nene was very good yet again today, showing some nice touches, flicks and skills. Easily the best player in Ligue this season up till now.

Marseille drew against Toulouse at the Velodrome and Lucho Gonazalez got injured, it looks like a serious injury as he was immediately taken to the hospital. Marseille were disappoiting yet again today. They have been very inconsistent this season and have lost a point too many at home(which is what lost them the league last season).

Toulouse are such a joy to watch when they play against the top sides, their counter attacking football is always entertaining. Sissoko, the protagonist behind most of their counter attacks showed again what a monster he is. What a player, i really think he should move to a top club as soon as possible, this kid is going to become one of the best box to box midfielders in Europe. I've seen him destroy and dominate some very good midfielders, today he did it against M'Bia and Lucho. Earlier on in the season he dominated Toulalan and Makoun. A monster of a midfielder, would love to have him at Arsenal.

Gomis just scored against his former club after the fans booed him all game, it looked like they got to him, as he was mssing too many chances all game. But in the end he scored a goal after a gaffe by Janot(St Etienne's keeper) and celebrated like crazy.

Looks like Lyon are still after Bordeaux.

Everybody's favorite Benini Stephan Sessegnon is having a good game against Sochaux, a nice through ball to Luyindula who was toppled by the keeper, penalty and PSG are up 1-0.

Average game though, don't think i will watch the second half.

PSG just added a second after an exquisite chip by Clement Chantome, the game is as good as over.

How is Marseille doing?
Not very well. They are in seventh place, they've lost some easy points. They are the very definition of inconsistency. They have a period of 2-3 weeks where they are great and they play very good football, then they follow that with a loss at home to an average mid-table side. I don't think they will compete this season, as both Bordeaux and Lyon are rather strong this season. Losing this much points is not tolerated anymore in the Ligue.

Well to be fair to him, the other alternative was to be unemployed because it didn't look like Marsille were too keen on him and he was going to resign from that post anyway.

They didn't offer him a new contract until the end of the season(by which time Gerets had already started looking for another job) apparently. Marseille's administration is shambles, the guys upstairs have no clue about football. Think of them as the Real Madrid of France, Pape Diouf, who was probably the only guy who knew a thing or two about football resigned because of this debacle. Pape Diouf had asked the management time and time again to not let go off Gerets and to offer him a new contract but they went against his wishes.

Marseille is a poorly run club, that has been their biggest problem for years now.

Oh I see, I think I read about this in World Soccer. Such a shame, Marseille has the most fans in France right?

Don't take it negatively, but you're really not a guy a can imagine reading a book, magazine, newspaper, even if it's about sports. :D
For some reason I can only imagine you holding a magazine that doesn't require reading.
