Ya too late asshole!

In the past seasons this thread was all about me talking to myself, on the odd occasion, Aushim and Jack would throw in a pity post here and there.

Ya i didn't count those posts, in that case Nick has probably more posts than anyone, i don't think theres been a semi decent Ligue player he hasn't asked about :D

Lille play the best football in France if you ask me, but the problem is their field sucks balls and doesn't always allow them to play their free flowing football, i love watching their away games to teams with good stadiums ala PSG, Lyon, Marseille and St Etienne.

L'OM play some good football too, i like how they started playing Lucho behind the attackers as opposed to the CM position he used to occupy last season. He's much more effective there. Ayew is quite a good winger too and interesting to watch. Remy can be good when on form, same for Valbuena, even though the latter is a little overrated.

If i'm back home by then, i'll definitely be watching. If not, i might watch a rerun later on in the night without knowing the result. Its going to be a very good game, Rennes are a good team to watch. But they have a lot of injuries unfortunately. They're going to be without Ekoko, Marveaux and even M'Villa is doubtful.

Aww.

I'll be watching it as I'm starting to like Marseille really. Fred, define me their team :nerd: Each player for 1-2 sentence

From what I've seen I like Diawara, Cheyrou, Lucho, Rémy, Ayew and Valbuena. Gotta say Brandao didn't impress me.

Sure thing.

Mandanda: Good keeper when on form, he's a little inconsistent though and is prone to errors. All in all he's in the top 3 keepers in the Ligue though.

Azpilicueta: Started out very poorly at Marseille, but after a few weeks he started picking up his form, he's become a very good fullback for them. Very energetic, keeps going up and down, don't let his height fool you either, he's quite strong too, plus he's very good in one on one defending, not easy to get past him. He's been injured ever since November and will be out for the rest of the season though, so, of course he isn't going to play today.

Diawara: Strong defender, very pacey for a defender, he's been good for quite a while now. I liked him ever since his Bordeaux days. Second only to Cris in terms of centerbacks in the Ligue.

M'Bia: He's played mostly as a centerback these days despite being a DM all his life. He is obviously not a natural CB and makes some pretty elementary mistakes sometimes, especially in terms of positioning, but he has a good understanding with Diawara, they're a rock solid partnership most of the time.

Taiwo: He's become a bench warmer recently. He's definitely leaving on a free this summer. I think that is more the reason why he's become a bench warmer, than his actual ability or form. Heinze really isn't that much better.

E.Cisse: I like Cisse, he's a good holding midfielder for Marseille. Screens the defense well, and is always calm and composed on the ball.

Cheyrou: Has been one of Marseilles best players in the past 3 years, scores a lot of decisive goals, is a good passer of the ball, and puts in some defensive work too.

Lucho: Was amazing last season, and one of the players of the season, this season he has become a little inconsistent and frustrating at times, but recently Didier has moved him from a deep CM position to a more advanced AM position, he now plays behind the strikers, and is doing a lot better, looks like he enjoys the role. Best passer in the Ligue, if you ask me, he can play in the top leagues without a doubt.

Remy: Possibly Marseille's best player this season, though he always gets those niggly one week-two week injuries, that is hampering his season a bit, but whenever he's played he's been quite good for Marseille. Plays on the right hand side of the three man attack, pacey player, and i like the way he times his runs.

Ayew: Another player who has done very well this season. Quite a good dribbler, and has demonstrated that he an score goals too. One of the best wingers in the Ligue

Gignac: Hasn't hit top form yet, really inconsistent and at times too wasteful in front of goal. Can be devastating at times though. Still, he's been a semi flop judging by the expectations that were pinned on him when Marseille first signed him.

Brandao: Ya, he's quite a poor player. Got nothing going for him other than height, strength and the fact that he's good in the air.

Pretty much what I've seen from all those players. I heard many good things about Azpilicueta, too bad he got injured. I'm still to judge Cisse, as he was only decent and sometimes invisible. Ayew and Remy really impressed me, though.

Thanks a lot Fred, appreciate it
