Poor L. Blanc. He just lost in his 1st match in Euro Qualifier. I hope they can bounce back and beat Bosnia if they want to keep their chance alive. And i think Bosnia won't play so defensive like Belarus do and this time can be France chance

I still don't get several of Blanc player selection especially Clichy as LB and Hoarau as main striker. They have abundant talent especially on LB with Evra, Abidal, Cissokho, Trem, and Cheq M'Bengue (if he is French).. But he opt to play Clichy. I know Abidal and Evra is suspended and Cissokho also injured but i prefer Trem actually.. And for main striker, i see Blanc want to have 1 big striker that can hold ball and have aerial ability like he use Chamakh in Bordeaux.. Apart from Gicnac who is also suspended and Benz who not that good on the air, is there any France player in Ligue 1 who has that ability Fred? I don't think Batefimbi Gomis is better than Hoarau..

And is Moussa Sissoko injured? So Blanc play Diaby then?

Well why does he have to use a big man?

You're right, Gomis isn't any better than Hoarau, but i don't think Blanc should be using a big man. When all are fit, i'd like to see Gignac paired with Benzema, or Gignac playing right ahead of Gourcuff, no need for that big man stuff, this is France not the English NT, i hope Blanc lets go of that idea.

Moussa Sissoko is injured, but i doubt he'd start even if fit, i'd give him a little more time to settle in the team and mature more before he becomes a starter in the NT. I think the usual Toulalan - Lass duo is what we'll see when everyones fit and Toulalan is back from his ban.

As for the leftback situation, Trem should be right behind Evra in the pecking order imo. He should be ahead of the likes of Clichy, Abidal and Cissoko.

-----------------------Frey/Lloris

-----Sagna - CB(Sakho,Koscielny etc) - Mexés - Evra

---------------Lassana(Alou)------Toulalan (Moussa)

Nasri (Menez)--------------- Yoann------------Ribery (Malouda)

-------------------------Benzema/Gignac

what do you think?

DO IT BLANC! it's an order.

And i'd rather he used Squillaci (yeah him) instead of Rami.

Yes, Blanc must get rid the idea about using the big man striker. Even Briand or Gameiro will do just good for France.. Gicnac? Why do u think he will do better than Hoarau? I agree with Benz but still questioned about Gicnac after his performance last season

Toulalan is not called up last match because he is used as CB in Lyon lately i recall. I just remember about Lass, also Alou Diarra is a good option for CM. Yann M'Villa actually do decent there in the last 2 matches..

Read Motorhead post about the CB pair. Other than Clichy who i want to be replaced by Trem. Rami also not perform good in CB on Norway and yesterday. It can be he need time to gel with Mexes or either try Sakho, Koscielny or even what Motorhead suggested with Squillaci.. Abidal also okay if he can come back from suspension

Gignac is one of France's best goalscorers, and he has done reasonably well whenever given a chance for France. I think he is a much better player than both Hoarau and Gomis.

Toulalan wasn't called up because he was banned after his WC antics, but in normal circumstances he'd definitely start.

I think Sakho and Mexes should be paired in defense. They will need time to gel and learn to play with each other of course, but its France's best bet. I'd have Abidal and Ciani as backup, maybe even Koscielny if he does well for Arsenal. I wouldn't want to see Squillachi anywhere near the NT.

I would rather he used Squillaci than the even more mediocre Rami.

Fred, Blanc also said that since Toulalan is used as a CB for Lyon now, he would only consider him as a CB for france, hence he won't call him because apparently there are better options in the CB department than him.

That's a load of bullshit IMO, Toulalan should be used in the middle, regardless of where he plays at Lyon.

Forgot about Ciani. They also have Planus, Souleymane Diawara (OM). They also have Bassong and Kaboul who play regularly in Spurs, though i don't like them as defender. And also Bodmer. Damn, this France team is really have many options.

I missed that, what a stupid thing to say :sergio:

Well then it looks like France isn't going to get any better with Blanc if he's going to keep the tradition of stupid decisions.

Souleymane Diawara is probably one of the best centerbacks in Ligue, but he's Senagalese not French.

Bassong is Cameroonian. Kaboul is pretty mediocre if you ask me and Bodmer is a midfielder not a centerback, when he was played as cb in Lyon, he played there as an emergency measure.

He now plays in his original central midfield position for PSG.

Planus could be an option too.
