I was wondering why it took so long , but it was worth it in the end, great review +rep.


France has no good quality centerbacks, that is going to be a big problem. Believe it or not, Rami is actually one of the better alternatives out there. Which says more about the lack of quality CB's than Rami's ability. I guess, France have to rely on Mexes now, and hope that one of Rami, Ciani or maybe even Koscielny in the future steps up.

As for Sissoko, i have always rated him. I think he will go on to be a top player. Glad to hear he did well for the NT. I wish Blanc will continue calling him up more, now that he's impressed in Blanc's first game.

Hoarau doesn't deserve to be in the NT, thats for sure. With Henry, Trezeguet and Anelka no longer options. Benzema has to step up, Remy has to move to a bigger team than Nice, Gignac has to step up too.

I'm glad to hear about Samir. He's been doing great in the pre season, this could well be the season where he explodes. I look forward to seeing him in our first game against Liverpool, Cesc won't play for that one, so the onus of creativity falls on Samir.

I expect Koscielny to be a hit at Arsenal and have his chance with the NT, i also hope Sakho makes it in some years, he has a lot of potential and reminds me of Thuram a little.

Sissoko will be a great player, no doubt. It'll be interesting to see which top team snatchs him first.

Kakuta could turn out to be a magnificent player, i hope he gets his chance too. I like Gignac but he needs to step up his game, same goes for Benzema, he must stop thinking that he's already one of the best and start working his ass for both Real Madrid and his country, hopefully Mourinho will only do good to him.

As for Remy i liked what i saw today but i havent' followed him at all so i'll take your word on that.

Samir is great, he is already a very good player and if he stays injury free he'll be WC in no time.


For the future of the NT i would like to see something like this (as you can't axe everyone that was at the WC, i hope )

I like it. I can't believe i forgot all about Sakho He should be given a chance sooner or later.

I'm not sure i trust Benzema though, he has never played well for the NT. If he steps his game up and starts playing for the NT, i'd play him. If not, i'd stick with Gignac upfront. I'm not too sure about Nasri on the wings, he's never done that well with us over there. The only attraction of it, would be that Ribery can play in his favored left wing position. But still, i think i'd rather Ribery on the right with Florent on the left.

France has quite a few good young players. In a few years the likes of Kakuta, Tafer and Lacazette will be ready too.

Yeah, i put Nasri on the right because apart from Ribery playing his preffered left wing position i think it's too much of a waste benching one of Samir and Yoann. they could also play a ultra offensive 4-1-2-3 with both Samir and Yoann and Ribery, Malouda and Benzema/Gignac. I would love it since i love attacking and beatiful football (not that shit spain plays ), but i'm not sure how that would work against tough oposition (though it could be one hell of a shows versus smaller oposition in WC/EC qualifications )

I'm kinda of a Gignac fanboy but i really think Benzema will turn out to be great under Mourinho, for now yeah, i'd stick with Gignac too.

I'm not sure such an ultra offensive formation can work for France. It works for Spain because they can keep the ball so effectively.

I hope Mourinho can get the best out of Karim, he's really wasting his talent, as he can be one of the best in Europe if he plays at his best.

It is indeed a shame that one of Samir or Yoan has to be on the bench. But thats how it is, i'd rather bench one of them than be in a England type situation where they play two similar players in Gerrard and Lampard and end up playing neither in his favored position.

Nope. Yoan is the better and more proven player, that is for sure. I personally wouldn't think twice, i'd choose Yoan for sure.

Nasri hasn't really shown much in his 2 years at Arsenal. I am hopeful that that will change this season though.

As for Spain's style. I like a more direct style myself, but to be honest Spain's style is damn effective when done properly.

Bordeaux do not have a striker, and they don't have Blanc anymore. Plus, they don't have much squad depth either. I doubt they stand a chance this season. It will probably be between Lyon and Marseille. The latter stands a strong chance if they can keep the likes of Niang and Ben Arfa. But i will have to go for Lyon as my favorites. They have some problems in the defensive side, but all in all they have more squad depth than anyone else, they have the strongest squad, and the best players.

I'm going to say something that might surprise you here. I don't think Yoan can make it at a top club. In fact i'd bet that he won't make it at a top club. Maybe he can at Arsenal due to Wenger being there, the French influence and all. But i can't imagine him doing well in Real, Inter, Chelsea, United etc. He's never been that good with pressure, and he's always been mentally weak imo. Being big fish in a small pond in the Ligue has been perfect for him.

I hope Marseille does good this season, and yeah i kinda agree that Lyon has the betther depth but the ligue can get unpredictable sometimes so who knows?, Bordeaux is doomed .

Really? I think that under the right guidance and given enough support by his manager he could make it, granted it would take a very special manager to achieve it. Like Arsene, Ferguson or Jose.

It makes a lot of sense that Ben Arfa would want to move. He rarely starts for Marseille and is used only as an impact sub. I think he would be a risky investment. He's terribly inconsistent, and he needs to be kept on his toes in order for him to perform. If he gets an extended run as a starter, he normally gets complacent and stops playing so well. Its such a shame, because i think he is one of the most talented players in the world(yes i would go that far).

As for Hazard, he really is special. This could be the year he explodes, he definitely has the potential to be world class.

I think they overstate Erding's ability. I wouldn't put my money on him getting the golden boot. Lisandro, Gignac and Gyan Asamoah would be safer bets if you ask me.

As for Hazard, this Sunday Lille take on PSG, that should be a good match as both are attacking teams. Plus, we can see how Hazard does against PSG who are looking good this season.

Very poor first half Marseille's game, but the second half was exciting, even though it had more to do with poor defending from both sides rather than technical level.

L'OM lose yet again, they have been really poor in their first two games. Luckily for them, there is no real superpower in French football this season, so they can afford to lose games and still get back in it.

Btw, Cesar Azpilicueta has been average ever since he joined them. Of course, its a new team, a new league and a new system, so he might need some time, but he has started quite poorly.

my stream went dead at like the stages when Marseille started to play really nicely,around the 70 minute mark..how were the marseille goals?they really played bad in the first half..

The first goal was a penalty, after a nice through ball from Lucho to Andre Ayew who was brought down by the keeper. The second goal was a cross, it became a mess in the penalty area, it fell to Andre Ayew and his shot took a deflection and went in the goal.
