definitely not, not even close imo. They are nowhere near Lyons level imo. They need major reinforcements if they want to challenge Lyon. the only Marseille players that would make the Lyon team anyway are Nasri and Cana, Taiwo and Valbuena could make a claim, but Grosso and Keita are better for me.

The difference in quality and squad depth between the two teams is just too big. IMO L'Om need a new quality centerback, rightback and a winger.

Marseille completely outplayed by Lille, what a match it was yesterday, incredible tempo, and overall a very technical game. Claude Puel developing yet another batch of youngsters, he is the "Prandelli" of France imo, Mirallas, Bastos, Cabaye and Obraniak all very good youngsters.

What a game Caen and Lyon was, one of the best games i've seen in a while. no questions asked. Goufran again impressed me and i understand why Arsene is strongly interested, the guys an absolute beast, he tore Lyon apart in that first half and ripped Grosso a new arsehole.

Benzema is really the one that has won Lyon the league, the guy is simply amazing. almost unstoppable really.

Watched the first half of the PSG game, they were playing like a team possesed, fantastic game and 2 goals in the first 13 minutes. Diane finally adding some end product to his game, he has always been one of the more talented players in the Ligue, but he really needed to add substance to his already stylish game.

Disappointing day of French football,

PSG Toulouse game disappointed too, Elmander is a shadow of the player he was last season, regardless of the goals he scored, the same can be said about Emana.

What a game between l'OM and Bordeaux. I think I like Les Girondins more. My only wish is that Les Verts become stronger.

Shame i didnt get to catch the game, had to finish a damn Accounting project :lazy:

I really hope Bordeaux clinch it, i've had enough of Lyon winning it every year, Lyon have got a home game against Nancy and an away game to Auxerre, i dont see them losing points in any of those two games unfortunately.

Nancy who are by the way the strongest defence in the Ligue, kept Lyon at bay for long periods of the game, they even took Benzema completely out of the game, but Lyon have a match winner in Juninho, one free kick and the bastard killed the game off.

Its Forza Auxerre from here i guess

Almiron has already scored 3 or 4 goals for Monaco, I think. But still, he supposedly didn't impress Monaco directors and they are planning a rebuilding in the summer with Almiron on the way out. Or they just don't want to spend money on Almiron? Monaco is not a wealthy team by any means.

Lyon Seal Seventh League Title
AJ Auxerre 1-3 Olympique Lyonnais

A first-minute strike from Karim Benzema set Lyon on their way to their seventh consecutive Ligue 1 title in France...
A confident, brash display in Burgundy saw Lyon through to all three points and a seventh consecutive Ligue Une title.

They say that the early goal is crucial for settling nerves, and that certainly seemed to be the case as OL took the lead one minute in and then went on to dominate. News that Bordeaux were failing to open the score against Lens must have emboldened the champions further, leading to some second half success, too. Relaxation in the final quarter-hour saw them lose their clean sheet, though, although all three points were still forthcoming.
