He is apart of Roma herself! He is everything to the people of Rome as well, he has a city, and the legions of fans around the world, who ALL look to him as our Capitano!! Thats not even going into the Azzuri, who look to him as well, Euro2004 is not a good example though, Totti was a fool there and he knows it...

REGARDLESS of what ANYONE says, nearly EVERY team in the world, rely on ONE PERSON. More then anyone...It is the same with Roma and Italy, without Totti especially if we had a similar season to this one, we'd of been relegated.

I didn't say that teams never rely on a particular player.
I didn't say he has no responsabilities, I said he can't handle them well. This is risky if one is the leader of a group.

He had the responsability of his team (that saw him as their Captain) when it was risking relegation a couple of weeks ago. Was he there to help? No, because he had been enough fool to get suspended for 5 (very crucial) matches.
When Trap said he was his Platini of that team (btw, Platini asked if Trap was drunk, but this is another story), he had the responsability of the whole NT team and he didn't last more than 90 minutes.
As a NT/Roma player he has the responsability to represent Italy/Romanisti/Romani and spitting (yes, because it happened), walking on players' backs, whining at the refs is at least not classy.

Seeing this and seeing what, for example, Baggio did with Brescia and the '94 NT, well there is a difference.

btw my dictionary says:

• If you follow what someone else has done, you do it too because you think it is a good thing or because you want to copy them;
  
• If you follow someone in what you do, you do the same thing or job as they did previously.

Now I'm finished with Totti because, let's say it, I don't care that much about him or his team, I just thought it was really touching his love for his club

What I meant is that he is a bad example to the other players, not that they will surely spit or something, but that they will take rules and so on lightly. If their captain does it, why can't they?

Your team won that title in 2001 because of Batistuta, not Totti. Even though Totti played a part in it, Batistuta takes the biggest credit for handing your team the scudetto.
