Category: <b>Site</b><br><br>We've just upgraded to the latest version of vBulletin (3.6 series), and it comes with a lot of changes, including improved Ajax technology, a new warnings/infraction system, the ability to use new hacks made specifically for vBulletin 3.6 and much, much more.

However, the upgrade forced me to revert many of the templates made for vBulletin 3.5 as they weren't compatible, so it might look a bit funny, but I'm working on that right now.

Also, some of the hacks we used (vBookie for example) doesn't work with 3.6, so I'll have to go through the code and see if I can get it working with our new version.

Please have some patience and if you've found some bugs in the layout or functions please let me know in this thread (and this thread only).

Thanks :)

Superb Marty!

It looks great!

I have to get used to the smaller fonts but it's ok.

Site a bit slower for me but that my freakin' modem.

The line on the user title should be fixed, apart from that and my problem with the pages half-loading when I open multiple tabs it seems to be A-ok.

Some good news, both the Arcade and World Map still works. But vBookie does not as predicted. I think I can manage to get that working though...

    Got some goodies coming:

    * Spambot prevention hack
    * SEO hack (better looking titles, good for search engines)

    + Probably something else I can't remember. :p

    * Separated sticky threads from normal threads.
    * Fixed so that the signatures are aligned at the bottom now too, and with a nicer separator that stretches across the whole post.

    improved Ajax technology
So does this mean our younger posters will gain experience and improve more quickly? :)

Also, I notice that the QUOTE tag now reads QUOTE=Marty;1224054. What's the significance/function of this?

    a new warnings/infraction system
Interesting. I'm at work right now, but I look forward to seeing the new functionality.

Overall I don't care as much about the appearance or gimmicky features as I do about the anti-spam and warnings system. Hopefully this will be a big change for the better.

You did not specify a username. It's needed to perform this action.

Thanks for the updates. I'll look into that tomorrow, need to get some sleep now (6.42 am :p)

I think the main vBookie thing is working at least :)

is there anyway we can get that back to where it was, under the pm's?

also when you search for new posts, the threads you haven't visited are not bolded, it makes navigating harder. :frown:
