I hope for a usual good Ferrari start with at least one of our cars gaining a place. Then in the race, McLaren fail without Ferrari data and Kimi wins.

My thoughts:

Kimi was suberb, took most of the field and deserved more from the race. It was unlucky that Massa wasn't fueled up to the finish, I suppose with the second Safety Car after Alonso's accident it burned more fuel then required. Still, that was amazing driving from Felipe at the end to pass Robert.

Alonso lost control of the car on the white lines and the back end flung out, causing the crash. Looked bad but thankfully he is OK.

Robert Kubica was treated unfairly by the stewards, after the race Lewis even admitted he couldn't see Robert in his mirrors (they were steamed up) so it was a racing incident. There might be a possibility of a biased view towards Hamilton in the FIA.

I'd rather have no driver win this years title then a McLaren one but if I had to choose between Fernando and Lewis, I choose the latter. Seeing Alonso's smug face on the podium would add insult to injury in what has already been a tough season for Ferrari, but hopefully next season all will be different.

No traction control could suit our drivers and our cars so we can get more consistency in our races, a Ross Brawn-esque person is needed at Ferrari as our tactics struggled a bit today and we could have won the race. Also, our downforce needs to be improved to gain a bit more speed because we need to overtake well.

On a side note, Webber was hilarious. Here is what he said: "Well it's kids isn't it with no experience, just go and fuck it up" Then the reporter replied with a: "I think we'll end it there Mark". That was way too funny!

on another note i thought Ferrari's strategy failed both their drivers who had a big chance.

Too late for Alonso to start playing the unfortunate victim...

Hamilton is already one lap ahead, i m really happy for this kid,
a decent guy, almost innocent, he tries to be fair but he wont let anyone fool him,
he let Alonso to show his true colors and hoped that his skills alone would be enough to do the difference... this was a nice resume of the season,
we had some tragic moments and some unfortunate incidents,
a beautiful race.
I m not sure if Ferrari worths this championship, they made so many tactical mistakes this year, maybe Todd is losing it after all, in the long run we can draw the best conclusions, i m happy about my views and predictions,
i m sorry about Ferrari.
And i wish we wont , somehow, end up with Fernando, next year...

Alonso puts an end to some rumours
Monday 1st October 2007

Fernando Alonso has rubbished any suggestion of him sitting out next year's Championship, amidst rumours that it could happen.


According to F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone, McLaren may drop Alonso at the end of the year but keep the double World Champion on the payroll, thus preventing him from racing for another team.


"It would be terrible but there is nothing you can do about it," Ecclestone said of the thought of Alonso being sidelined for the next year.


"It might suit Ron (Dennis). Ron might say, 'I'll pay you but you can't drive for anyone else', like they do with the designers."


However, Alonso says that's not going to happen even if he does leave McLaren.


"No, that's not in my plans. I want to race, I'm 100 percent sure," he told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser. "However and wherever, but I enjoy racing and that's what I want.


"Next year there will be an important change in the rules, removing all driving aids and it's a season you have to race. It's important to adapt to the cars, which will basically be completely new."


As for reports that he's on his way to Ferrari next season, Alonso says that's not going to happen either.


"I have no news from them. They have contracts for next year with (Felipe) Massa and (Kimi) Raikkonen so it's not a possibility for me for next year."


The double World Champion was also asked about recent comments made by his team-mate Lewis Hamilton. The McLaren rookie told British journalists that he doesn't want the Spaniard at McLaren next season.


"I'd much rather it were Fernando in a Ferrari and me in a McLaren," the 22-year-old Brit said.


Alonso, though, refused to take the bait saying he has no issues about partnering Hamilton next season.


"If we are not together next year and I have a competitive car, then fine, and if we have to stay together we'll have another beautiful fight," he said.

It's a weak possibility but I'd really like it if Alonso stayed at McLaren, but if it's not possible, I'd take Kubica with arms wide open.

Alonso would rather not be Hamilton's team-mate


Fernando Alonso has admit he would rather not continue to race with his current team-mate Lewis Hamilton. The Spaniard failed to finish in Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix and has pretty much lost the championship fight with two races left on the Formula 1 calendar.


"I'd be delighted if I didn't carry on with Hamilton," Alonso was quoted by the BBC. But the Spaniard did say that if he would stick with McLaren and team-mate Hamilton he expects another interesting championship battle in 2008. "If we are not together next season and I can go to a good car, then great. If we have to carry on together then we will have another great battle," Alonso said.

Ferrari team boss Jean Todt has cooled down suggestions that the Italian team could be interested in the services of current McLaren driver Fernando Alonso. The Spaniard was linked with Ferrari as his relationship with team boss Ron Dennis was not at its best.


When Ferrari team boss Jean Todt was asked about the chances to see Alonso at the team next season he told the press: "Zero percent that that will happen. We have two great drivers in Raikkonen and Mawssa and we are happy with them."
