How do you guys think McLaren will do this season ? I hope they fail, I can´t stand them.
Up yours!

Personally I have mixed emotions about their campaign this year, I am certain Ferrarri will do good with Kimi though. McLaren's problem is inconsistency, the car is unreliable something I'm interested to see how Alonso will cope with. He had a really good and most of all reliable car in Renault, how he will do in McLaren is a mistery to me... But here's to hoping!

I like Alonso, but I think he made a bad choice going to McLaren. Athough he´s an excellent driver I think his chances will depend on McLaren´s reliability which wasn´t good last season.

Kimi I can´t stand as all Finland drivers. He has an excellent car this season though, Ferrari will be extremely fast, I read even the fastest on test races.

I will cheer for Renault as always, however they lack a world class driver now, I don´t have much faith in Fisichella nd the other driver, I think they will fight (and struggle) for the 2nd place.

I´m hoping Honda and BMW can do well this season.

am going to the race on Sunday and hopefully Ferrari would do something. It will be weird without schumi though.
I hope you enjoy your time, I am sure you will. Too bad you won't see the legend driving, well let's just hope that Alonso's start of the season be, as we say, unsuccessful at all.

Funny, how I see everyone cheering the teams on. I've never really considered f1 a teamsport, always had favourite drivers but never a favourite team.

That was the case, up until the best driver, the world has ever known died...
Right after Prost, the sport has advantaged a great deal, the drivers have less influence in the final performance than ever.
Teams and drivers are very competitive, the difference has become hardly visible (per class of course) superhuman Schumi demonstrated a few times in his carrier that being the best driver around helps you winning some races.
But despite being so constant and stable, on keeping high performances, even when all the "mechanical" odds are against him, Schumi carrier proved that without the cars performance he cant win championships,
he has accepted that and kept repeating this up until the end of his carrier...
Since he has been through the old ages and the new revolutionary era
and since he managed, at times, to master both of them,
he is the most responsible man to answer this:coffee:

Yeah, I know, but I just can't see me ever cheering for the constructers championship. For me it's all about who becomes the world champion.

It is all about the drivers at the end of the day, but still you always fancy your teams drivers more, if that makes any sense.. Anywho, for me it was kind of like with Juve, one player, in this case driver, got me hooked and I can't let go. It was Senna of course, plus as I was a kid then so I was influenced heavily, by my family, to support McLaren and it stuck with me.

I can like particular drivers from other teams, for example Button, Kubica, even Kimi who's at Ferrari now, with no problems but i always hope someone from McLaren comes through in the end.

Liuzzi is cool. But he won't win shit.

Sad Schumi is gone. I'm rooting for Fisico, who has always been one of my favourite drivers, and everyone who beats Alonso, prefered La Scuderia.

Alonso is the best driver in the field. Ferrari is the best car. We will see what prevails at the end. McLaren always have had mechanical problems. Regardless, with the new tire rule, and Schumacher retired, I am not as interested as I was last year. Last year was a great season. I'll never forget it. It will be hard to compare this one to last. Either way, the competition should be close between Ferrari and McLaren as always. It will almost be as good as Schumacher and Hakkinen. Not at all.

I wouldn't say Alonso is better than Kimi though he is a great driver. No Jack, you don't become two time world champion by just being lucky.

It's gonna be a pretty competitive season and I'm really glad Schummi is gone, not just because I hate him but because I really believe new great drivers and rivalries will emerge this season.

Go McLaren!

I gotta wake up at 4AM to watch the race. :wallbang:

damn...got up at 8 am after a tiring Iron Maiden concert. it was good to see Hamilton on the podium, surely this will encourage him a lot more!!! easy race for Kimi, just had to drive fast and get in n out of pits very fast. BMW were surprising. and Renaul were simply terrible. NOWHERE near what they were last year.

mark83, still gonna support Renault?

PS: Fisi really did a great job holding off a faster Ferrari in the last few laps! kudos to him for that. but the rest of his race.....meh!
