Interesting facts about this race. Firstly, the fastest lap was more than 2.5 seconds faster than the fastest lap in the same race last year. 2013 (last year of naturally aspirated V8s) - the fastest lap in Melbourne is still 0.6seconds faster than the fastest lap this year. Still, its one hell of a step up versus last year.

I really thought F1 was getting way to slow last year. Good to see they are getting faster.
