Bes, I don't know of any other sites for the patch. Seriously though, try the internet. It shouldn't be that hard to find

Problems with WE 7 for PC:

1-I get my keeper to come out for the ball, with my opponent being the last one to touch, or returned by a header, and that idiot always chests it down to his feet. Once he chested it down and just stood there as if he's waiting for the ball to be shot by some invisible fu**** foot!! :fero:

How do I get that idiot to grab the ball?
I dunno about that, just boot it away says I :)

2-The ref calls fouls left and right for legit tackles. My PS one game gets it right all the time.

Is there a "referee strictness" setting on this game?
The referees are quite unpredictable in WE7, they call fouls for legit tackles and don't call them for red card offences. I don't know of any setting to change this, but in WE's defence, it's more realistic, since football referees are unpredictable by nature :p

Unless you're talking about that guy that ref'd Italy-Mexico in WC 2002 or the 2 refs that shared 22 red cards among them in the EPL this season, then WE is way off on that one. :D

It seems like if they improve something, they have to screw something else up.

One hell of a fast response btw!!

;)

I play PE3 for the PC, and from what I've heard, it's better than WE7. I'd like to compare them, but I guess I could just read the differences online.

Any way you can get your hands on PE3?

Who calls it Pro Evolution Soccer when they're talking about it? With my mates it's usually Pro Evo...which by the way is AWESOME with 8 players using a PROJECTOR :thumb::thumb::thumb:

I don't think you should go and format your comp just cos of that. What do you mean, you reinstalled and nada? Do you mean there was no problem, or that the game didn't run at all? Are there any error messages, or does it just dump you straight to your desktop? Try installing the official patch

it's most commenly called PES3... that's pretty much the standard abriviation online, not your buddies' abriv. though it doesn't matter really.. either one is understood.

4 v 4 is hilarious! not a pretty site on the field though. ;)
2 v 2 is the best IMO. If you have good understanding with your mate, it's the best experience. both fun and entertaining (footballwise too) for the people watching.

doesn't happen to often. the keeper does goof a bit, but not more often than real life goofs.

about the keeper. during the side-select screen (where you have to turn left or right with the pad to chose whether your the home or away team... just before the team select screen) make sure the manual keeper setting is OFF. As you get more and more used to the game, you should also make the player controls more manual. to do this, in the same screen mentioned above, make it so that there are only 1 or 2 auto sticks.

2-The ref calls fouls left and right for legit tackles. My PS one game gets it right all the time.

Is there a "referee strictness" setting on this game?
like Graham said, it's more realistic. there's no setting for ref stricktness, though in the screen that you chose the stadium, time of day, ..etc., on the next page, there is an option to chose the ref. each ref's decisions/strictnesses are different than the other. I dont know who's the most strict. i always have the ref select on RANDOM.

About realism. WE7/PES3 actually make mistakes on purpose and the commentator even acknowledges some of them and disagrees witht he ref. for example, there are many handballs that go unnoticed, some goal kicks are supposed to be CKs and vice vers, when the ball is in the air, the ref can call a foul against any of the two players going for the ball.

The only thing they really need to work on in WE7/PES3 is the advantage system. it needs some more tweeking. i heard WE7 Int (Japan) is more promising.

The fact that they even have an advantage system is an achievement in itself :thumb:

They should really work on the commentary too. It's really shallow, and it's too obvious that the club and player names are recorded seperately

    "Tonight's match is....Juventus.... versus ....Salernitana"

They always say the same thing too. I'm SICK AND TIRED of hearing

"They've made a good start, do you get the feeling that this is gonna be their day?"
"It's hard to say at this stage :blah:"
"It sounds like you're expecting a very open match"

    EVERY TIME :fero:

It's really shallow sometimes as well.

"It looks like they're bringing on an attacker for a defensive midfielder"
"Yes, hopefully he can score a goal"

    :lazy:

Hehe, im pretty tired of the scottish guy and the other one on FIFA:

    "he have to score"
    "thats a wonderfull goal"
    "great effort there"
    "ooooohh he's so unlucky"
"they are passing the ball around here now" :D
"lets sum up that half ally"
    "complete overeaction by the referee"
    "he deserved the booking"

I think i have wrote the whole script they used to make the commentaries!

"Nil all at half time then."
"Well their aim going into the second half was not to concede a goal, and they've done that"

:wallbang: Thanks for the wonderful insight you overpaid fool

well.... i really dont have to worry about all of that. commentary was never an issue with me. I play the Japanese version and it might as well be in marsian because i dont understand a single word. It's a lot better than English.

what you guys could do is switch to the ITalian or Spanish commentary (if available of course) :thumb:

When i played WE6FE, the patch I DLed had awesome club and NT chants. I used to turn down the commentary all the way and turn up the crowd. Great atmosphere! :thumb:
