I'll miss you so much Pavel, you're one of my all time favourites and also one of the reasons why I love this game so much. This is the end of an era. I wish that you and your family have the happiest of lives after this :touched:

The whole game I was so saddened because I saw the Great Pavel in his last game throw back the years and showed us all why we loved him in years past. Staying with us in our worst times without hesitation and giving more passion and energy than any other play Ive ever seen. Grazie Pavel for years of glorious service.

Not just him.. but all the champions who stayed with us in serie B deserve some legendary respect!!. Without them, we could have been still fighting in B :O

Nedved, he is unreal... it would be cool to have like 4 more younger pavels in stock....

Del Piero's goodbye message to Pavel.

It was a very special day.

We wrapped up the season, winning against Lazio and this victory let us reach the target we wanted at the end of this season, that is, the second place.

It was really important for us to end the season with two victories in a row, and above all to win the last match, playing at home, with our fans at the stadium. I really missed it, it wouldn’t be nice to finish the season without having this sensation again. And then, Pavel couldn’t wrap it up, but as a winner.

It was a very special day.

It was special for him as it was for us, and we still can’t believe that we won’t see him in the changing rooms, coming back to start the new season. I’m really proud of having played with Pavel Nedved (also because I do remember him as an opponent, and I can tell you that it’s much better to have him play in our team) I’m proud that last Sunday he was my captain, I was happy to put the captain band on his arm, the same band I’ve been wearing for a lot of years. That was the least I could have done.. I’m really sorry that next year, Pavel won’t be by my side, just think of what he has done during this season: as all great champions he left in a great manner.

He’ll stay with me in all the memories we share, a lot of victories, some defeats, the choice to stay with Juventus even in B category to come back together in A. But above all I’m tied to him through all the moments, that might seem to be insignificant, those moments we lived through together in the last eight years, proving him to be not only the great football player, but also the great man and the great friend.

Dear Pavel, it was wonderful to “put up” with you for all this time!

Maybe it’s not just by chance, that on the same day of Pavel’s last match, two other great football players, Paolo Maldini and Luis Figo, left football.

Oh yes, it was a very special day.

My best wishes for the future for all three of them.

p.s.: as for me, I’ll see you in Pinzolo…

Neddy you will certainly be missed. A legend, champion and a role model for all the players out there. I am happy that some of our most promising young talents got to spend a couple of seasons next to this man because trust me they have learned a thing or two ( if they didn't Neddy probably forced it on them or told them off about it).

I'm glad he got acknowledged with the golden ball because it would have been a real shame if a champion of his status bowing out with some sort of acknowledgement for all his characteristics that got him considered one of the best for a long time.

I read somewhere that when the journalists asked him about his decision to stay with the club in Serie B, he said it wouldn't feel right because the club gave him so much. And he mentioned how he couldn't dare to look the fans in the eye or something along these lines. This is a man who would've got a great salute from all the fans had he decided to retire when we went down to serie B, but he chose to stick with the club in its darkest times.

Its a real shame we couldn't pay him back with something this season or last season and the biggest shame is that we couldn't win that CL trophy that he really wanted. It breaks my heart actually thinking that he got close to winning us that cup.

Hard work and hard work and work again then comes a touch of brilliance. That is how I personify the great man. That is how he initiated his journey with this team and that is how he ended. Well you can stop running for us Neddy, you will always be in our hearts. It was a privilege watching you play. Grazie.

    Forza Pavel :delpiero:
