The concept was developed by Xerox. They held some kind of conference about it where other people heard about it and Mac ripped it off. Then Microsoft ripped it off Mac.

Correct. The question was poorly worded. The term they should have used was Graphical User Interface. Xerox first developed it with their LISA (i think that's what it was called) computer, and the rest, as they say... is history
