Yeah, but I'll still take a shot on him. I'm planning on giving him at least 10 matches this season, and promoting him to my 5th striker next year or loaning him out. He's currently in the U20s.

There is an absolutely AWESOME 16 year old at Anderlecht, he's a centre back, cost about £325k tribunal, Vanden Borre or something like that.

because you are not using the whole database but only parts of it. a game where you have to load the whole database would take forever to load. try loading both english and italian leagues. it will take longer but you should have more players.

I tried to buy him, but they wouldn't sell him for 5Mill€. So I decided to stop negociating, and signed Bonera for 8 Million.

Vanden Borre is an exciting youngster in Anderlecht but I don't thing he's gonna be as good as Kompany.

Vanden Borre's contract is unprotected at the start of the game so get him then, and how did you sign Bonera for 8m?

Yeah, on my mates game he was crap too. I guess he's one of those random players. He was the best scorer of my U21 team last season (I'm at the start of my second season), and he scored 3 goals in 7 games for the first team. He was worth 2.9 mil when I got him, now he's woorth 7.5. I was thinking of using him as a 5th striker, but I want him to get some experience so I'm loaning him out. I've already got Caracciolo to replace him as a 5th striker. Anyways, I'll try to loan out Kapo too, there's just no room for him now that I've got C. Ronaldo, at least not until Neddy's relegated from the first 11 in 2006.

I sold a lot of players. Plus, all of the deals are over 24 months, so I actually bought more than I can afford, I own some 270 mil € for transfers, and I only have 170 in the bank. I need to find 100 mil € over the next two years to not go bankrupt

How do the monthly payments work?

They've always seemed pointless to me as I can't exceed my transfer budget even with them, so I always just pay the full lot up front. Seems the same in FM too.


I'm playing on a mate's computer, as Man Utd (yeah....I know). First time I've ever controlled a British team!

Rungratsamee (free) looks awful!

Sold Alan Smith and Paul Scholes.

Volpato is beginning to come through, MOTM in previous game, now he wants to leave England! So I'm bringing in an Italian coach, hopefully help him settle. I use him as a sub for Giggs (who is insanely good).

Ucello, painfully inconsistent. Where do you guys play him? I put him behind the two strikers, and he just got two 4s in a row. Previously he was hitting 7s and 8s in this position.

Ferronetti, been in the Olympics so not played much, looking OK.

Bonera, was playing well then got a 5 vs Werder Bremen who beat me 4-1 :down:

Mascherano, playing very well.

I only have Saha (injured) and van Nistelrooy as out and out strikers. I'm thinking of playing Rooney behind them.
On the other hand, he can play up front if I want to rest my main two, then I can have Ucello or Ronaldo playing behind the strikers, or maybe Brandy.

I have to get rid of Kuffour. He got suspended twice in two weeks.
I have Bonera-Rio as main CBs, also Brown, Silvestre, O Shea. So Kuffour I should offload as he is a liability. I wouldn't mind another quality CB tho, as O Shea isn't the best and I need Silvestre to cover LB too.
Any ideas? Bear in mind I have no money unless I sell Kuffour and/or Bellion.

Monthly payements work exactly as they sound: if you buy a player for 24 mil € over 24 months, 1 million € will be deducted from your budget on the 1st of every month.

And you can exceed your transfer budget by buying on monthly installements in FM. You need to have half of the sum you're offering on monthly installements. For example, if you offered 30 mil over 24 months, you need only 15 mil in the bank.

Anyways, haveing spend almost 300 mil €, I've realised I wont have any money to buy one or two new players next year when I need to replace some of my older ones. Thats why I've decided to do it all now. I'm gonna get Mexes to replace Thuram and Lequi to replace Dellas (that would mean my 5 centre backs would be Chivu, Mexes, Bonera, Kompany, Lequi), and I'm also getting a Brazillian D R/L to replace Pessotto.
