i just finished my 4th season and let me say...this is the the most pissed i have been with this game in 9 years i'm playing it.
1st-italian cup, serie a, cl runner up
2nd-italian cup, serie a, cl runner up
3rd-italian cup, serie a, cl winner
4th-italian cup, serie a runner up, cl winner
now that's all fine and dandy but what pisses me off is the fact, no matter what id do i can't fre-find my form!!! the first 3 seasons i kicked ass, changed players, changed formations frequently, as i always do, i won the leauge with ease all 3 times, had like 32 wins every season. now the whole fourth season, i had to struggle to win against the likes of chievo, messina...i finshed the season second with 17 drawn matches. i mean wtf?!? every time i lead, no matter how far, 2:0, 3:0, the opposition always comes back and it ends a draw. i read about this on sortitoutsi but didn't pay attention till now, and may i say it's fvcking frustrating!!! and to make it even better, my first match in my 5th season i lost to chievo 3:0 at turin!! i'm comforting myself with the fact i played the whole match with a player less.

Do you tweak your tactics towards the end of a game because you should. When leading in the second half I tend to narrow my formation slightly to congest the midfield a bit more (don't narrow it too much though because the opposing team could hurt you down the flanks), lower team mentality and the mentality of certain players so that they spend more time behind the ball, increase time wasting so that the opposition has less time to get a goal back and maybe even lower the closing down of my players a bit so that the team keeps its shape and doesn't get pulled out of position because of a too high closing down setting. If your closing down is reasonable as it is then leave it because too little closing down will give the other team too much space.

stuart, thanks for the tips, i already know that as i'm a big fan of this game and playing it for almost 10 years. so i can assure you that this is a bug of some sort, there's even an article on sortitoutsi about it, because if a experienced player can't get around it than it must be a bug. i mean 17 drawn matches speaks for itself, and the opposition was coming back from 3:0 even if they were lecce. it has something to do with the ai, changing it's formations and tactics in 70th minute and they just crush you. it didn't happen before, as i change my formation quite frequently, but after my 3rd season, everything went downhill. and i didn't even buy a lot of new players, just one. my 5th season has just started, will report if i get around it.
kosova, yeah i remember, but i think that was because you didn't change your formation, tactic for a long time if i remember correctly, and that is a must.
