The same thing happened in 2002, Lazio fans were supporting Inter against their own team because they didn't want neither us nor Roma to lift the title. When Inter scored the first goal, the fans were celebrating exactly like they just did in the first half. Lazio players at the time, including Poborsky, Stankovic, Fiore and S. Inzaghi were so frustrated with the fans that they played it like a CL final.

Will it happen again? I doubt it with the likes of Zarate, Floccari etc.. But I think someone like Rocchi will shine under these circumstances

This mentality is the reason why Italian football goes downhill.
We saw this year that we can't even compete in EL but yeah lets play only CL because that's where we are so great and get so much money for not passing the group stage Im so sick of this.

In my opinion Europa League would just be a distraction. Also, with the medical team we have and our team playing in 3 competitions would be a repeat of this year. Misdiagnosed injuries and not to mention record amounts of them.

Since we won promotion from Serie B our priorities have never been to win a European competition. Our priority is to win Serie A. Europa League should be the last of our thoughts after this season. Plus the bit of money we would get from that competition isn't going to make us or break us. We're already in very healthy financial state.

I can understand why you would diasagree with my logic but this is my reasoning behind it.
