Hörde du vad Birro sa om Juve?

A Swedish football expert said that it is to the better of the club if Juve miss out on Europe, it is needed to make things right as everything in the club is wrong.
I heard, and sadly he is bit too optimistic, because I dont think us being disastrous and missing CL with do fuck all with this board.

As long as it is a total youth movement next season, then this year will not have been in vain.

I know that if Juve sells off their old players, that they won't get enough money to get adequate replacements.

Fine. Bring back the players on loan, and bring players up through the youth system, even if it means that the team sucks next year.

There needs to be a total change in the team. Basically, most, if not all of the old guard need to go, there needs to be a new culture in the squad, a new mentality, a new hunger. I would rather take my chance on a bunch of 20-25 year old players who want it more than anything in the world, then a bunch of "names" who are all past it, or pretty damn close, who are hanging on for one last payday.

If they are going to suck next year, at least let it be with players who are going to grow and get better.

I am sick of seeing an old team. Yes, this team basically sucks right now, but to be a bad quality team and an old one just compounds the problem even more.

So, to an extent, I somewhat agree with Alen. There won't be enough money through the players sold to get players of equal quality.

Fuck it, at this point, though. I just want to see a young team that gives it everything they have, every week.

If we knew missing out on european football would mean a turnover at the club, it might be a good thing, after a disastrous season, but like Osman said, do you guys really think all that much will happen if we fail to accomplish our goals?

We might be poor, but I want us to reach CL football, even if a dream. What's with all the 'we don't deserve it anyway'-attitudes? Who cares, we belong in the CL or atleast EL, shitty season or not. If we somehow manage to get 4th, 5th or 6th we deserve to be there, no matter how poor we've been, as we would've managed to get the points.

Ken, here is what I think, when people are saying that "we don't deserve it anyway".

I think, and it is a little presumptuous to speak on behalf of the entire forum, that the attitude with the board, if they somehow do make the CL, will take a look at this season as merely a bump in the road, and not the eye-opening experience that it SHOULD be. It will be more of the same, more of hanging on to the old players because of the belief that they can take the team to the promised land.

Well, they can't. It simply can't happen anymore with these guys.

I, for one, unless the miracle of making it to the CL are caused by the likes of Diego, Candreva, Chiellini, Marchisio, and any other young player out there, do not want to see them make it there.

This team is not poor. Not by any stretch. Their brand name and marketing still put them in the top 10-15 most profitable clubs in Europe. They have the money, they just need to stop trying to find quick fix solutions to their problems. I would take Simon Kjaer and Javier Pastore any day over Felipe Melo, and those two cost exactly half of what it took to bring Melo here.

I can see the formation but the approach is paralysing them. If you want to win the Scudetto you have to win matches and waiting does not bring you a win.
I'm not sure they are being deliberately cautious.

Roma are just looking very sluggish at the moment.
