In Europe,

BIG TIME FLOPS.
I agree. Did it make that Juve team a team of losers or, as Hist said, the biggest flop in the world?
It didn't, because we proved in another competition that we're really good.

Real were eliminated by Lyon. It happens. But they're showing consistency over the season (needed to do good in the league) and it's a quality.
Plus, it's hardly a Mickey Mouse league. Real, Barca, Sevilla and Valencia could have all finished top 4 in England this season, which means that these teams are quality. Other teams in Spain have some top players too, which makes the league a pretty good one.
Calling La Liga a Mickey Mouse league shows bias. Bias needed to underrate what Real are doing there. I didn't hear anyone calling La Liga a Mickey Mouse league last year when Barca were winning.

La Liga is a Two Horse race. Barca and madrid brush aside all the other mickey mouse teams and both rarely drop points.

The difference is that when barca faces tough opposition they prove that they dont show off against the mickey mouse teams for nothing..
Madrid however, choke against every non-mickey mouse team... they chocked against Milan ffs. Even we could beat them.. you never know.

Man, I'll say every time it's a weak league and there's no bias and Barca wanking. So yes, IMO it's a weak league, even if it's second strongest in the world. It's just because one of those teams do great in Europe, like Barcelona. I think you overrate Sevilla and especially Valencia in that argument. They got their lesion in Madrid one year ago when they were rapped but it doesn't really matter. The whole league is only about Real and Barca and that's it. Real are a huge flop, I mainly look at their job in Europe and how they failed. Just look at their transfers and how much money they spent this season and they were kicked out by Lyon.

What kind of argument is "look at how many times they won the CL". Bullshit, look at Milan and you still mock them at every occasion. It's all in the past now. Just look how much money they spent over the last 3 years and everything will be crystal clear. They spend (I have no idea really) over 350mln euros and they did what in Europe? Nothing. Compare their finances to other clubs who won that earlier. Their main object was CL this season and they were humiliated there, even if they win La Liga, they are laughable. Team like that should always be in the semis at least, but they are far, far from that. And you even though they could win the whole thing. Well, maybe next year they get lucky, when they spend 200 more millions.

I missed their game tonight, but as a La Liga viewer, they have been extremely excellent this league season. Totally blitzing games quite often.

And we can speak of weak leagues to a point, Serie A is 1 game of tommorrow from having the laughable Milan as the league leader. EPL is pretty good, but a Man U who is lacking quite few real quality players in their squad are still dominating like nothing changed.

I agree with everything you said Alen in the past few pages, but i strongly doubt one of Valencia or Sevilla could finish in the top four in the EPL this season. Especially the latter, Valencia when at their best maybe, but Sevilla this season are rather poor. They had a good start to the season but overall, they haven't been that good.

I'd argue that United are not only dominating in the EPL but they are dominating Europe as well.

though i have to say, the Liga is far from being a weak tournament. Alen was right in saying, people didn't consider it a mickey mouse league when Barca was winning it.

No, tell me how is La Liga a Mickey Mouse league? In what way is EPL stronger?
If Spain is always a two horse race (well, 4 different teams won it in the last 10 years) then what is the EPL when in the last billion years the same three teams won it and Manchester wins it 70% of the time (9 of the last 14).

The Spanish teams are doing very well in UEFA Cup, which says that even those out of the top 4 in La Liga are quality. Valencia played twice in the CL final, Villarreal made it to the semis in CL etc.
That's much more than what the EPL teams outside the top 4 are doing.

It's a very strong league and you're just being biased. You're being too defensive when people attack Barca and nervous when they praise Barca's rivals.

thats because u guys are taking the manager aspect out, is man utd team that good on paper ? apart from rooney and vidic who would you want to take to juve ? On paper arsenal and chelsea have a better team than man utd IMO.

Man Utd will always be good so long as sir alex is around, that milan vs man utd match doesnt prove milan are a bad team. In 2007 milan beat the best team in england 3 - 0, would that make the premir league a crap league.

A lot of u ppl forget that the cl is only a kock out tournament, real madrid are a good team lacking confidence in the cl, but la liga, well in all honesty i think its the weaker of the 3 leagues. For the past 3 years they've been getting easy teams while italians face the english teams over and over.

but its no good to say we have the better league, we need to prove it ! if we dont improve in europe we will never prove it.

You really believe the Liga = EPL Alen?

I think your stretching it, the EPL in the past 4-5 years imo has been better than the Spanish league.

Nope. The only difference was that The 3rd and 4th team in La Liga weren't as good as Arsenal and Liverpool.
But the quality of La Liga was that the 3rd and 4th place teams were always different ones and those teams were still doing solid in CL and great in UEFA. That shows overall quality.
Look at the EPL teams outside the top 4 and how they did in Europe. They simply lacked quality.

So did the Spanish teams in the past few years. After Juande Ramos Sevilla i don't recall any Spanish team doing anything in the UEFA Cup.

When you look at the teams fighting for 4th place this season in the EPL you notice the difference in quality imo. Man City, Tottenham and Aston Villa all i would argue are better than Mallorca, Bilbao or Deportivo.
