Unfortunately, I think it's impossible. Ranieri will not take any risks and it will cost him dearly. He'll be satisfied with draws on the away matches.
That has always been his downfall. Not to forget, that he will remove Totti and Vucinic and replace them with defensive midfielders and defenders in the last 15 minutes of a game he's winning 1-0, only to succumb to a draw in the end.

And if the difference between Roma and Inter, before their match, is 3,2 or 1 point, I am 100% sure that instead of playing to win, Ranieri will play not to lose and he'll be thrilled with a draw, hoping that Inter will fuck it up elsewhere.
I'm not one of the Ranieri haters, far from it, but it's impossible to deny his loser attitude in decisive moments, when he has to take a risk in order to win, instead of playing it safe and hoping others to fuck it up.

whats the problem with "waiting for the errors of the opponents"-strategy ?

just see how what you always demand of our coaches (subbing in offensive players and going gung ho at half time) have bitten inter and mourinho in the ass. they kept on attacking and with the subs already done he could not react anymore and so they got a heavy beating of a catania side that is way inferior.

how often did i read here "bring on another striker, so we can extend our lead" and you see here that it can cost you dearly even if you have a way bigger quality squad then the opponent. that was actually the best example why this "score another one to kill it" is more a gamble than trying to change to counter attack after the lead.
