Fiorentina have lost Antonio Cassano, but officially signed Keirrisson from Barcelona.

The Brazilian arrives on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy at the end of that time span for £12m.

The contract is still pending a medical, which is set to be performed on Monday.

Keirrison turned 21 last month and plays as a centre-forward, standing at 1.84m tall.

He started his career with Coritiba and Palmeiras, then was bought by Barcelona in June 2009.

However, he has spent the last six months on loan at Portuguese club Benfica.

We liked Keirrison from the summer and in the end Barcelona took him,” explained director of sport Pantaleo Corvino.

Knowing our interest they proposed him to us and it was an important signing, but not one that came in place of Cassano.

We were proposed the Cassano option last night, but Keirrison is the replacement for Mutu during his time out, joining Stevan Jovetic and Alberto Gilardino as first team picks.”

Official: Mancini joins Milan
Monday 1 February, 2010
Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has reached a deal with neighbours Inter to sign Amantino Mancini.

The 29-year-old former Roma attacking midfielder had been pushing for the move behind the scenes after rejecting a transfer to Marseille.

Milan boss Leonardo has been keen to add an alternative to Ronaldinho on the left-hand side of his attack.

Earlier today, it was reported Galliani had offered Marek Jankulovski in exchange for Mancini.

However, it now appears the Czech full-back did not feature in the deal at all because he would like to return home.

Mancini was also attracting interest from former club Roma. He has made just one starting appearance for Inter so far this season.

I bet he'll be a success there.

Good signing i believe for them. He's a big risk due to the fact that he hasn't played much football over the past 1 and a half years, but Milan lack options for the wings in the front three.

He's cup tied for the CL though, right?

He started the match against Rubin in Kazan, so he's cup tied.

Time will tell how good this signing will be.
On one side he's cup tied, hasn't played regularly for 18 months, highly inconsistent, has high wages (3.5m eur a year, of which Milan will have to pay half for this season) and Milan will surely be 2nd or 3rd in serie A, with or without him, but don't stand a chance to win serie A.
So, as far as this season goes, he might be useful only as a card to be played right before the CL matches and give a rest to Dinho or Beckham. Since losing or winning those few pre-CL matches won't change much for Milan (and I doubt Mancini can make a difference between winning those matches or not anyway) there isn't much logic in getting him.

Maybe they count on him for the next season. 6.8m eur for half of him.

He'll be 30 this summer, he has high wages (something that put Milan in this tough position is paying high wages to +30 year olds) and Milan will have to convince Inter to let Mancini play for Milan next season.
Also, if Mancini won't get much playing time this season (and will he? With Dinho, Beckham, Seedorf, soon Pato will be back, will he play enough?) then will Milan decide to buy him next summer? If they don't, what's the use of Mancini this season?

Many question marks so as I said above, time will tell. But right now it doesn't look like a very logical move.
