I don't know why you're insisting on comparing the two players. I'm sorry but it's a bit retarded comparing them and saying Cassano could replace him as a player and would a be a threat to him. Over retardation if you ask me, I'm sorry but this is how I see it.

Actually, I see it this way, I see you're the one who hasn't watched Del Piero last year and the year before and before and before...You might want to check his stats and Cassano stats, for a 35years old he puts Cassano + one of his likes in his left pocket.
Rab I respect you alot. Not once did I ever say Del Piero is finished or has not helped our team through the past few seasons, you make it sound like I hate on Del Piero which is silly really. In my opinion Cassano is a better player than Del Piero. Agree or disagree its your choice. Me aswell as alot of the forum would like Cassano here next season, and to be in the starting 11 next season.

Exactly, that's in your opinion, but no one will ever agree with you about this, or to be more accurate the majority will look at this as a joke. and I'm serious.

Del Piero as a player has done, achieved, gave, still giving, worked hard and still more than 10's of Cassano's and that's a fact. It's an insult to Alex, Nick.

Only few players in football history can be compared to Alex...only few.

The only doubt which i have about Cassano to Juve is how compatible he'll be with Diego. Both are players who want to have the ball all the time when their team is attacking and they're both players who want to make the final pass. In their current teams, both have kind of a free role and they're allowed lots of freedom in everything they do.

I'm not afraid at all of Cassano's possible outbursts. I think his problems are behind him. But his compatibility with Diego is what makes me a little sceptical that they can work together successfully.
As for his qualities as a player, I see an amazing talent and amazing player in Cassano, so I disagree with Rab in regards to Cassano.

He's good, not more not less. Good player in an average team that fits him. Simple.
The main difference between Cassano and Del Piero is professionalism! This is what Cassano lacks, if he was as half as professional Del Piero is, he could become a great player, Cassano has a huge potential, but I doubt he will reach his full anyday.

If he's great at everything he does on the pitch then what makes him a good player?

He was a great player in a strong Roma back then so I don't see it as that simple.

    Define great Dus, please..

You know what's great in everything? Great in everything is a combination of players like Zidane, Rivaldo, Del Piero, Maradona, Platini...players that have left their mark in football history. That's called greatness.

Cassano isn't great in everything, seriously, playing for Sampdoria, failing at Madrid and not even leaving a good mark at Roma is anything but a great at everything like you call him.

Just like you think too many anti-Cassano around here, I think there are too many fans that can tell a player if he's bad from good because of some successful dribbling....

Professionalism is part of the game.... and not only professionalism is the difference between them, many more things.
