He had a good first season with Bayern, but barely did anything last season and has barely made on the pitch this, as far as I know.

It's bad, but not bad enough to earn Toni a spot in the NT squad

In 2006? He wasn't bad, he was fairly unlucky, caused plenty of problems in opposition defences, scored twice and had two good goals denied. He gave possibly the worst performance of a striker I have ever seen in Euro 2008, when a half decent striker would have scored at least 5 times with the opportunities he had.

He was world class for three seasons and Serie B quality for the rest of his career
