We had a pretty decent mercato but i think our problem is more of a tactical problem rather than quality (even though we lack quality players in some positions)
Well they've beaten Roma 4-1 in Rome (07-08 season) the same Roma team that reached the Quarter-finals in the Champions league that year yet they've sucked big time in Europe.
Inter are doing great in italy but they're not such a scary team in europe. Even if they will reach an advanced stage in the CL this season it would be a one off thing (just like the 2003 semi-final) yet they won't win it not this season or in the near future. I'd bet on it

What we need as a fucking good RB. I'm talking Daniel Alves style. It doesn't matter if he can't defend well. Let Sissoko, Melo, and Marchisio worry about covering for him in defense. With Del Piero/Giovinco, Marchisio and Grosso on the left, Attacking RB and Camo on right, we will be much smoother.

for 2 seasons now we had to contend with Grygera and Molinaro. okay so they got Grosso as a short term solution for the right side until they can get Criscito. But they should have fucking bought a good RB because Grygera is bad and Zebina is always injured. It's not like they just figured this out either, it's been common news for a few seasons now. Sure they got Caceras, but just because he can play RB doesn't mean he is a good choice.
Getting Melo was a sweet deal an all, but I would not have minded us keeping Zanetti, getting a cheap midfielder and a quality RB instead. Zanetti despite his age and injuries is still a very good player. But let's not get into that.
The point is we need a RB and we need to get him in January, not summer. Enter Rafinha? Trade with Poulsen/Grygera? make it happen Sucko.

Livorno fire Ruotolo

Gennaro Ruotolo is no longer Livorno boss. President Aldo Spinelli has shown him the door following their run of defeats and is set to hire Gigi Cagni.
Ruotolo took charge of the Tuscan side in last season's Serie B play-off Final win, but was unable to officially guide the team in the top flight as he did not hold a coaching licence.
For that reason he had been assisted throughout his spell on the bench by Vittorio Russo, who does hold the necessary qualifications.
Livorno are currently bottom of the table with just three points, the result of three draws and six defeats, including Sunday's 2-1 loss against Palermo at the Stadio Armando Picchi.
According to reports in Italy, Gigi Cagni could take the Amaranto helm shortly and is already negotiating a deal with Spinelli after confirming his availability.
"At this stage I can only say that I confirmed to President Spinelli my willingness to accept this challenge," confessed Cagni.
"Now it is up to him and his staff to decide whether I am the right man for the job."
Cagni is currently tied to Parma but his contract could easily be resolved in the case of a new opportunity.
Rumours also suggested survival expert Mario Beretta was in the running for the Livorno post, but the former Siena Coach has denied any links.
