Has anyone else gone over the Irony of Robben and potentially Sneijder, coming back to play at the Santiago Bernabeu in the CL final after playing integral roles in their team's performances, after they were deemed surplus to requirements by Real Madrid?

I like hard working strikers (unlike you V :p) who make up for their lack in talent by just doing what they do best consistently.
Yeah well Olic is the exception, he's also scoring goals. ;)

Indeed, add to this the fact that van Nistelrooij might be playing the Euro League final, and me thinks that the Dutchies that have left Real are proving again that Real isn't the smartest team with regard to doing transfers.

:pint:

Last night, Olic was the best striker in the world. Whoever thought, just half a year ago, this guy would have 7 goals in 9 matches of CL? Not to mention one goal was more important than the other.

I'm so glad for him and ashamed of all the shit-talk I've said about him over the years. And whoever still says he's laughable, overrated or whatever...he needs to get his head checked. This guy deserves nothing but respect, especially if you've followed his career for a long time. Talk about a fairy tale...

Forza Bayern to win the final.
So true...

Mourinho: Barcelona are desperate to be in the final because the final will be in Santiago Bernabeu. I would be desperate too if the final was in Turin.
What a bitch.

What's wrong with Jose's comments here?He doesnt really take a swipe at Juventus. It's a perfectly normal comment about a coach playing a final on the turf of a bitter rival. And it is true.Juventus would be more motivated and desperate if the final was at San Siro,Man Utd would be more depserate if the final was at Anfield,so on and so forth.

Forgive my temp-obsession about Olic, but here's a bit of trivia; the only player beside Olic to score a hat-trick in a CL semi-final was.......Alex Del Piero. Scored in season 97/98 against Monaco. What a partnership that would have been; that Del Piero and this Olic. :D

That should be a .gif. :howler: ....and Salman's avatar. :p
Mourinho is right still:p.Inter is dreaming of a final whereas Barfa is obsessed with reaching the final will not lose tonight IMO. I think they will either win or get a draw. However, if you read the hype they have created with "leave your skin on the pitch" Pretty laughable.

The thought and opportunity to play and win a CL in the Santiago Bernabeu has gotten to their heads too much. I would love to see Barcelona choke in the worst possible way and get clobbered 0-3 or something like that.It won't happen though.
If Barcelona doesn't score in the first 30 minutes then see how they start to get flustered. It's in their DNA that if they can't score in the first 30 minutes they start to lose focus quickly because things are not going their way.

The problem with Barcelona is that success gets to their heads very quickly. This is the case here. They think it is their right to reach the final AFTER getting tactically raped in the first leg! They have woken up now and think that they will steamroll a Mourinho side just like that.

Inter concedes 3 from time to time but they also score at least 1 when that happens. Eto'o is going to screw them on the counter tonight.Period.He's going to put his name on the scoresheet and remind Barcelona what a bad deal they made by sending him and cash to Inter.

Robben is so good. If he can stay healthy I'm pretty sure he's going to get signed by another club really soon.
Guess what Robben just said.
He probably will finish his career in Bundesliga since he enjoys the playing style and the familiarly atmosphere a lot. He already played in Spain and England and doesn't want to go back and he's not interested in Serie A.

Any suggestions who will take Puyol's place in the starting XI tonight?
If it's Milito, then we might see a direct Milito vs Milito duel and it will be interesting to see who's gonna win it.
Then again, I doubt Guardiola will let Gabriel mark his older brother.
