Not denying any problems, but calling for a funeral? Besides the mid-table has never been this good nor as closely contested(over the whole, not just the top spots). Serie A is only getting more interesting.
The mid-table teams only seem to be getting better because the usual front-runners have been so poor. Just look at our season and position in the table. If these mid-table folks were so great, we would be much further down the table.
Add to that the constant loss of talent to other leagues and the probable loss of the 4th CL spot and the constant trouble with fans and poor stadia, the downtrend in Serie A is well in tact and not stopping any time soon.
The teams are closely contested, hence they lose a lot of points to eachother. My point has nothing to do with the frontrunners. when I compare a midtable match from this season to a similar game from a couple of years ago, the quality has risen considerably.
But yes, the downfall of traditional powers(milan and Juve namely) is a problem for the league.
and thats why I want inter to win it, the best team in serie a could knock out the best team in both england and barcelona. Inter winning gives the leauge coefficient points, and besides it could distract them from serie a and make roma win it.

If I recall correctly, Udinese, Viola and Lazio are all in a worse position than they were last season. The only sides that look better to me are Palermo and Sampdoria, along with Roma. If you're talking about the match quality between year to year, well that's a bit difficult to put into perspective and has a certain subjectiveness about it.

a certain subjectiveness to it. Of course, football is subjectiveness at its finest..
Define position? I'm talking about the quality and type of football they show. Sure it must be to ones liking, but the midtable teams express their own football. Actually all teams to that in Serie A do that, with the exception of Lazio, Juve and perhaps Livorno, which is quite unique honestly.

I don't really see any better football to be honest.
I see the same thing, but mid table clubs are dominating more because the whole league has gotten weaker. Compared to EPL it's still miles behind, despite the Inter's success this year in Europe.

Again not my point. Watch a midtable game in EPL... unwatchable to be honest, let alone low-tiers against eachother.
In Serie A I can watch any team play eachother, your chances of getting a good game are much higher. And with a good game I mean a game where you can identify a team's plot, imprint and even individual quality. As a neutral you only have to avoid Lazio and Juve games..
