Barca will advance against Arsenal, of course. Lyon and Bordeaux will be very interesting but I'd take the former considering they have a bit more experience at this level. Unfortunately, I see the wankers of Manchowder taking out Bayern, but I really hope I am wrong. If Bayern can have both Robben and Ribery going though they stand a decent chance, IMO. And Inter and CSKA is a no brainer.

So that makes it... Lyon vs. Manure and Inter vs. Barca.

Inter will try to play their defensive game again, sitting back both legs, and perhaps making it close until the end of the second leg when Barca grabs a goal with possession at 69-31. It will be similar to the Chelsea match last season. Could finish 1-1 at Camp Nou and then 1-0 Barca at the Meazza.

And unfortunately, I see Manure beating Lyon, so it could be another Manure - Barca final.

But I wouldn't count out Bayern. If they can get by Manure they will make the final, potentially even winning it if Barca decides to think about their matches with them last season a bit too hard.

Everything and anything is possible in this tournament though.

I was hoping for this to be the final. Two attacking teams, great showcase of football. These types of matches are what Football is about. Should be a fabulous game. Are you looking forward to the all French tie? and who do you tip Lyon or Bordeaux?

I'm looking forward to the all french tie. Its going to be pretty intense, especially with all the rivalry between the two teams in the last few years. Bordeaux have had the upper hand in the past two games and have overall been the better team this season in both the league and the CL. But they have been going over a bit of a rough patch recently, this is the right time for Lyon to play them.

Am predicting a win for arsenal against Barca. Inter are lucky to draw CSKA, it won't be easy but i think they will win (inter that is). United are likely to win over bayern. I can't tell who will win between the two French clubs.

Barcelona-Bayern Munich, Bordeax-Inter Milan

Barcelona-Inter Milan

Barcelona.
Won't happen. If Barca and Inter both win their QF ties, they are scheduled to meet in the semis.

I don't know why everyone think Man Utd are going to easily dispose of Bayern; Bayern can cause Man Utd a lot of problems. The Premier League sides are not as strong as they were last year, and besides Wayne "Pig Snout" Rooney, Man United don't have anyone else who can turn a game on its head; Bayern have both Ribery and Robben, and if they are both in form, I expect them to edge the tie.

Arsenal vs Barca would have been an ideal final; it's unfortunate that they have to meet at this stage though. I expect Barcelona to win this tie though; they have a better defense, midfield, and are definitely superior in the attacking department (I don't rate Bendtner at all).

Lyon vs Bordeaux will be an open and exciting game, and although Lyon have more experience at this level, I predict Bordeaux to pull through.

Inter vs CSKA could get very intresting, particualrly as Inter have a tendency to choke/under-estimate certain opponents. However, I still think they will go thru.

Inter vs Barca and Bayern vs Bordeaux in the semis then. Barca will be too much for Inter to handle, and if Bayern repeat the same mistakes against Bordeaux, then they are done for. Nonetheless, I expect Bayern to edge this tie, resulting in...

Everyone is talking about Barca as a superior team this season i don't think so. Last season almost every Barca player stood out (performance wise) but not this season.

Their defense looks shaky, their midfielders are not creating much chances for the attack and their attackers are not impressing at all (henry is finnished, Ibra's form have droped sharply lately) their only hope is Messi and he's the guy who's making the difference these days.

Arsene wenger is smart enough to know that once you close on Messi they'll left with no other options.

Arsenal this season are a "much" better team than Barca IMO, they'll make it through.

You overrate us very much Only-Juve(just realized i don't have the faintest idea what your real name is :p). Barcelona are definitely a superior team to us, and whats worst is that i am sure that Wenger is going to go gung ho against them, which will leave Messi with a lot of space to operate in.

It's unfortunate Fred, that you have to play Barca at this point. I was hoping for a repeat of the 2006 final; however, I do hope you win the Premier League ahead of Man Scum (Led by the Mercurial "Pig Snout") and The Blue Faggots (I can't stand Ballack, Terry, and Cashley Hole winning anything).

Nope not overrating arsenal at all, i really think they'll beat Barca in this game. Like i've said, Barca are pretty shaky this season. How many times they've leaked ridiculous goals this season in la liga (hardly ever happened last season). Both Xavi and Iniesta are not impressing like last season (even their fans are admitting to that). Henry is totally finnished, Ibra is having one of his famous "form drop periods" ATM and Messi is the only guy lifting the whole team so far (may add pedro too, he's doing great this season) but thats about it.

I'd bet that arsenal will win this game.

And by the way my name is yousef :D

Ya i hope we beat them to the Prem too :D

On a more serious note, the league is ours to lose to be honest. We have the easier run of games by far, when compared to the other two, so if we continue playing like we have been in the past few weeks, everything is possible. Arsene would be a miracle worker if he won the league with this team.

Barcelona have been shaky i agree. They have conceded many soft goals, and if it weren't for their midfield monopolizing possession, their defense would have been exposed even more. I agree with you that Xavi and Iniesta aren't like they were last season, but still at their current form they are pretty good(just not as good as they can be for their high standards), Zlatan has been horrid for them for months now, and this over reliance on Messi could backfire on them.

But still at their present state they are stronger than us, we are even more shaky than them, and we too don't have a striker that can score goals, instead we have been over reliant on Cesc. I think we do have a chance, but one has to admit that they are big big favorites.

Yousef?? I would have never imagined :D

The Anti EPL Opinionated Perspective.

I was pretty happy with this draw. Barca should do enough to overcome arsenal but its also a tough wake up test for barca as im sure they would know. Looking at how everyones talking about the Bayern game over here its great to see that I can only hope Bayern would walk over them, theyve lost plenty of times in previous visits and now it would be the ideal time for revenge. I really feel this is the right tie to be played now rather than later. If Arsenal progress then it would be Inter. I feel at that stage I wouldnt put my money on inter winning thats for sure. Man Utd will get a slippery skin if they get either of the french and is ideal match for them. Im sure either way the draw couldnt have been balled out better this time ill lay may anxious to rest knowing hopefully I wont see either/both of these two teams in the final.
