Just look at the line ups, Bordeaux had their best players, Bayern did not. That's what it comes down to.
Sometimes you must be capable of winning when a couple of your main players are out. If you can't then you don't deserve to go through anyway.

If you compare both teams overall, the difference would be noticeable.

you know what i meant
Not really. I'm just saying that Juve over Maccabi is something that should happen. The same as Bordeaux over Bayern today was not a surprise considering Bayern was missing, Ribery, Robben (on the bench), Mueller, and Van Buyten. Bayern still had an opportunity to win but the loss is not a shock as oh say the Barca result from last matchday.

Real madrid fans got to be the most delusionals out there. After the game tonight they're allready saying that they will win their 10th CL trophy this year (based on their performance tonight) :wallbang:

We were missing Seba, Del Piero, Sissoko and Cannavaro, three of which are our best players in three areas of the park.

Very similar scenario.

Still had Diego and others. You can cope with a player missing out of a particular area of the team. But considering Robben, Ribery, and Mueller are Bayern's offense it wasn't hard to see them losing today. A draw wasn't farfetched either.

Tiago as a left winger in a 4-2-3-1 is hardly ideal, No Zebina, Sissoko, Canna, Gio, Del Piero, Sissoko and Marchisio is a terrible injury list. All of them are considered starters mate.

Point is, both teams had players missing, one was home the other was away, and the standings are all that matter.

His just trying to make it easier to excuse Pool defeat tomorrow night (with Gerrard missing it was always going to be hard:blah: ) :D
Gerrard surly is a big miss that is for sure. Then again if you spend over 300 million in your reign and dont have adequate cover, who's fault is that?

Wait are you talking about today's Maccabi match? I thought you were talking about the first time you played Bordeaux.
