i think it was a pen. kalou did really bad by diving so hard and actually his ball control was bad too, at that point foul was his only chance, i don't think he even looked for a shot there. probably that and the fact that the ref was 40 meters away saved Inter. Drogba would've dealt way better with that situation.

Inter doing rather well up until now, this Chelsea team is more suited to play against the Italians(from Italians perspective) as they are the team that plays with the slowest tempo out of the big four.

Chelsea are creating a few chances here and there though, and they are still largely in the game. Maicon is poor defensively for Inter, he just couldn't handle Kalou's pace. Lucio however is having a monster game. Sticking really close to Drogba and playing aggresively.

Milito is one clinical mofo, easily one of the best finishers in world football right now.

Motta's kick on Ballack was no different than Brazzo's high leg vs Ajax, except Motta actually connected. Lucky to not have received a red.

Also i have to add that Chelsea both in the EPL and in today's game are obviously affected by Essien's absence, even though he has been out for a long time, they still haven't completely adapted to his absence. He adds a lot of aggressiveness and bite to that Chelsea midfield, unlike the more laid back John Obi.

Not to forget what I mentioned earlier that Chelsea's key players are scared to death facing Mourinho. I mean Lampard, Drogba and Terry.

It was a penalty/red card but the way Kalou fell fooled the ref.
Yup i agree. The way Kalou fell down and looked for a penalty instead of trying to shoot from the start put the ref off. Not that that justifies it for the ref.

Otherwise he is having a really good game the ref.
