It's a lot easier to explain than all the druids who were still worshiping trees there around the same time as the Protestant Reformation. :D
Yeah, we tend to look at it from the positve side :D We were the the Jesus mob converted.

Dude, when Martin Luther was being a whiny drama queen bitch with his passive-aggressive little notes left around the church, Lithuanians were still worshiping gods of thunder. How cool is that? :D

Yeah we have this old story circulating about some christians monk that was sent to convert us, but we killed it on sight with a blunt weapon. The funny thing is that I have never met a lithuanian who didn't at least heard about it and think about this story with some pride, like we were that badass in the day No one messed with us back in those times, not anymore though

Today? Heh nowdays we would drop our pants and bend over just from the smell of those preachers. Times have changed here, we have crooks who rule and would sell anything for some personal gain, even the whole country(which by the way have happened numerous times already). And the population isn't doing anything.

We can certainly be proud by the non violent revolution that took place on 1991, and how those same people gave away all the power over night to crooks and thiefs because they thought that they are giving to people who know better. That was baddas, how those people fought tanks with nothing. That we can be proud of, but today, meh, we are run by the thiefs and villans and nothing is done.

Sorry for the depressing note though :p

I see I don't need to tell you anything :p

By the way how are your plans coming here? I remember reading you wanted to come here but then couldn't.

If you decide to come here come in late spring or early summer, that such a beautifull time here. Especialy in nature, because when in lithuania you have to go for šašlykas (http://lt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Šašlykas) by some lake or river over couple of nights. Nothing beats that. That is a must when here :p
