Following various rescheduled fixtures, the calendar saw the Viola enjoy a run of three successive home games in mid-January. Two of these ended in victory: 2-1 against Siena and 3-2. Napoli, however, prevented Rossi’s men from making it three in a row when Cavani’s double put the Azzurri on their way to a resounding 3-0 win.</p>
<p>The Tuscan side secured their last home victory at the beginning of March as Moras’ own goal and a strike from Nastasic saw off the threat of Cesena.</p>
