i can't hate the guy was a pretty good fit initially, did his job well enough for a year or so. underwhelming and rightfully criticized for the 2nd year. not his fault though that we should have signed him a season or two earlier. he's well past his prime obviously and wingbacks are useless for motta so there's no point in keeping him anymore, so good riddance

He was always a stop gap signing. He had a good first season and underwhelming second, came for a decent price and did a job for us.

It was likely going to be time to move on this year anyway but Motta's tactics made it even more likely. The big disappointment is that we didn't manage to sell him, he could still be a useful player for someone.
