    i kno what your saying!!
    same with me!!

    it is frustrating isn't it!!
    speciallly when your taking "differential equations"!!!

    i feel like an idiot in class! :doh:

    (maybe i need to give juventuz.com/forum a break!! ;) )

    You are extremely violent mathematician ;)

    It's nothing to do with Juventuz! I think my case is due to a long lapse since I looked into a mathematics book. You maybe it's due to getting bashed around by Hayley :cheeky:

    i know what u guys mean...im terrible in maths now...
    Am well consoled now and I can dwell comfortably with my utterly unmathematical side ..... :)

    differential headache is the word!!!

    Top that off with a couple of Junior level computer science classes, Chemistry, and Economics and you end up ignoring everything and posting in every thread on juventuz.com just to get away while tricking myself that i'm really studying (because i'm in my room)

    :stress:

    well, for example:
    79 --> 63
    78 --> 63
    77 --> 63
    76 --> 63
    75 --> 63
    74 --> 63
    73 --> 63
    72 --> 63
    71 --> 63
    70 --> 63

    so any number you pick in the 70's will give you a final answer of 63.
    some numbers are obviously impossible to get, eg 99, 0
    10-19 gives you 9
    20-29 gives you 18
    30-39 gives you 27
    etc.
    every number you get will be a multiple of 9, but the highest you can get is 81
    it's all to do with 9 being a wicked number to play with :)

    anyways, that's how i see it
    so there is only a limited number of symbols you can have, it still doesn't explain why it guesses correct every time:confused:

    tom: it guesses correct every time because no matter what number you pick, your final answer is a multiple of 9 between 9 and 81, which all have the same symbol.

    ahah

    I get it now. the thing I didn't realise was that every time you try again the symbols have all changed!

    makes perfect sense now, thanks
