You are totally right. It goes in a vicious cycle of knee jerking BS. One minute Aquilani must be on the squad, but when he is, after even 1 half, he is suddenly the worst player ever. And so it goes with several players. Fickle as shit, the record is Rossi being dissed in some posts around here, and its not the yanks doing it, the hamster like memory of some around here is astounding.

Plus, Italy wasnt good, quite dissapointing, but also waaaay exaggerated how bad it was, I mean, if Iaquinta has scored 1 of his goals, not even 80% of them would be this negative at all. Zero perspective really.
i thinks its more down to the team selection , what angered us. Most of us are aware that the likes of toni, gattusso and zambrotta past it, so why play them ?

we do have developing alts, but their not being used

And another game won by using the cowardly Egyptian tactic. Never let Egypt take the lead, they will sit back and defend and the whole team will suddenly get pain in every muscle in their body. God, I hate watching every single player roll on the floor, specially El Hadary. Funny guy.

Anywho, congrats to all Egyptians. And what a shitty game by Italy.
Time wasting and rolling on the floor are one of Italy's specialties too.

The two drama queens of football met today. lol at the Italians getting angry about the Egyptians antics. However one must congratulate the Italian strikers for making a hero out of the Egyptians goalie ;)

To be fair I don't think that this Italian team is particularly annoying. Teams in the past might have been though, I agree with you there.

German way? Shitty team that always makes it far?

They might, i agree, but they certainly won't win anything in the near future.
This Italy team isn't as bad as folk make out.

A little tinkering and they will be a very tough team to beat.

I agree with what you have been saying that there is a lack of top class emerging Italian talent, though.

Bingo. And Lippi's playing us. Trust me.

Unfortunately for him there is still not enough quality though.

Daft, Germany often have excellent teams with outstanding players.
Yes, until mid 1990's. After that the Germans certainly didn't produce many quality players. They weren't even among the top 5 favs at WC 2002, WC 2006 and EURO 2008, but they always made it far.

But they always play as a team, i will give them that. Add the never say die mentality and you get solid results. But without top quality they keep leaving empty handed. (talking about Germany after the mid 90's)

Problem is that talent is being destroyed.

Anyone remember the mighty 22 year old Gilardino who was predicted to be the next veiri ? Along come Milan and destroy all that was good in him, and prefer to start the 32 ronaldo over him. Gilardnio had the potnetial to be one of the best strikers
