if I were Llorente and I got playing time. I'd do my utmost to score as many own goals in the most crucial of matches. Dildao suck balls as a club.

They didnt sell him in the last mercato for more money, and you still think that they will now, for 7 mil? They had this scenario of not playing him all planed, clearly Bilbao dont care for the money. The situation is simple - buyout clause or bosman.

I know, but Llorente is better in the build up play.
Llorente can't put any presure when the team losses the ball
Aduriz is more helpful than Llorente.

Llorente needs a whole team playing his own game. He needs the team playing for him.

He will be on the bench for a whole season, don't worry. He's useless now.

Thats still hard cash they're turning down. Financially, they might be a in a position that allows them to do that, but at the end of the day they still make a loss.

You got to judge a policy for its whole effects.
With Athletic transfer policy the club got 40.000.000 euros for Javi Martinez while Bayern and Martinez himself were pressing for a 20.000.000 agreement

Athletic got 40.000.000 for a 15.000.000 (at most) player.

Exactly why it's important for Athletic to not make exceptions, in this case Llorente.

It's working great for your team, why change it?

And I don't really understand people who think Llorente is treated like a slave, one would think he became the player he is now by himself and made to sign the contract at gunpoint.

If there's any team in the world that lets players go, it's Athletic, every player has his buyout clause, you just gotta pay.

Llorente goes to Caparros saying he has some problem in the finger
Caparros tells him: suck it an keep playing
Llorente sucks it and keeps playing

not the smartest guy in the world ¿eh?
