Same could be said about Cavani who's still playing for " Napoli ", you know how hard for basque players to move from Bilbao, they had amazing players throughout the years and they where highly rated despite staying there and the most glaring example is Etxebarria. Llorente has been impressive for a couple years now, and i can't think of 20 strikers that are better than him and playing for Bilbao shouldn't mean anything in this case.
Yes, let's not debate the basque roots for a moment, I'm questioning this as 'top' player category. Refer post above, quote to JJ. I'd say everyone we've been linked to as our top player is perhaps in that league. Llorente isn't. And it maybe for reasons that are not related to his skilset alone.

Obviously he's not a WC player by any means, but neither is Cavani, Jojo, I thiink Llorente if he settle well here is huge upgrade on whatever we have right now, and if we can't sign RVP/Dzeko, Getting Llorente won't be bad IMO.

I'd say Cavani will be WC with a team like juve for his movement alone. JoJo has the talent to be WC in two years. Llorente is under those guys IMO. He may turn out to be a beast if it's his destiny, but right now he's not a massive upgrade for me. Imagine what RVP would do to a team like ours for example. Even Dzeko for that matter, who may not be much better goal for goal, but maybe it's his greater exposure or more international reputation that will make one feel more content as an investment. Dunno, I guess my view on this matter may not be shared by others but I would be a bit underwhelmed.

Why? Didn't they just get done with the olympics and euro? This must be their second string team then.

He's become such a prick. Did anyone see his run in with Matri? Fucking cunts got a bit of an attitude. Maybe Quag needs to rearrange skeletor's jaw like he did with Aronica.

He's just so pissed off that he plays for a trashy club.
I was gonna say that. I will actually be pissed off if he goes to Chelsea and strengthen that shitty overated league full of mercenaries but I think that Serie A has a bright future. The game today in Beijing in a packed stadium showed that Serie A still enjoys worldwide reach and popularity whereas talenta like Cavani will always emerge.

It's hard to imagine Llorente playing in this team, too slow. Look at how Matri looked out of place today.
Did you see Athletic Club last season and how fast some of their football was?

Even in a fast team, it's better to have a couple of relatively fixed points in order to keep some sort of structure in the play.

With Pirlo and Llorente as fixed points and two WBs, two CMs and a SS (all of whom are likely to be pretty mobile) Juve would have a pretty nice balance.

He is actually an Aberdeen fan
Sounds like someone to be trusted.
