I wouldn't consider Llorente in that bracket. Lets not forget we were in for RVP. This is not to moan, but when it happens the second year running you could say its disappointing, espesh given the season we had. A solid mercato yes, but definitely could have been better with the icing on the cake, being a higher profile player.

TBH if you take 20 goals off Ronaldo and Messi (two phenomenal players not found in other leagues) you end up with the same figures in total and individually across the leagues. I'm not a fan of how they defend in Spain, but there is some exaggeration here.

Milan have freaking Acerbi and Zapata as their CB's, the days that Serie A had WC defenders like Nesta, Cannavaro, Maldini are gone.

The reigning world and european champion is not a top players? :p

I really fancied our chances with RVP given the circumstances, but I am resigned to believe that high profile players just don't want to come here. I doubt we'll have as good a season as last and the board don't think revenues are going to increase despite the 120m EUR capital raising last winter, established players don't think we are even contenders for CL and the board didn't renew Del Piero our talisman for almost two decades; this mercato will be disappointing unless Giovinco :sergio: steps up for real.

So that pretty much rules out Dzeko, Tevez and Damiao?

So what are they, left with Pazzini, Matri, Borrigol?
It seems so :)
I've found this on milan forum, from yesterday:

@Milanello: Sky reports that Zapata is a non-EU player, so therefore Milan won't be able to sign another non-EU player in this transfer window.
Sky Sports confirmed that Cristian Zapata joins Milan as a Non-Eu, so there are no more Non-Eu spots available for Milan.
