I heard their president is a nutjob. He'd rather lose Llorente for free next season than selling him for a price below the release clause.
I can see why he would do that.

They have got a lot of very talented players coming through at the moment and he will want to send a message to them that it's not easy to leave and send a message to clubs that it is hard to sign the players.

It's entirely possible that could prove to be worth more to the club over ten years than the 20m or so Juve are willing to offer for Llorente.

He could also scare off the players if he treats Llorente as a prisoner. I don't think any player would agree to such a high release clause after the Javi Martinez and Llorente fiasco.

Well that's part of the gamble.

Not necessarily on the release clauses, but getting the players who have ambitions to play at a higher level to sign a contract of more than a couple of years, if they fear the club will just flat out refuse to sell them.

Juventus, Llorente can be reached in January

Continue the search for the famous Juventus top player for the attack on pole there is always Fernando Llorente, Athletic Bilbao striker in force. The Basque club continues to say no to 18 million euro offer from Juventus, but Llorente is destine to wear the Juventus: Juventus if it is not in this transfer window, will surely come in January or June, when it is free from contract binds him to the Basque club.
